  1. and this style ? How much stuff can we load it up with ?
  2. This is the part I like, where, after a good basic question (there are no dumb questions) we get some good basic answers that cover the topic. Then the experts jump in, and no I don't know the difference between a 350 and a 361 MOPAR. Wouldn't know if it jumped up and bit me on the . . . well, you know. My room mate in college had a '59 Dodge convertible with a big v-8 in it. Don't have a clue what it was. We did put a whole new exhaust on it though, used the flex pipe stuff. Worked really well bending all around everything.
  3. I remember all that, being born in 1947. I think that's why we built those early kits using "ALL' of the decals and custom parts supplied in a kit.
  4. 361 had a wider bore. I 've got a few years in MOPARS too.
  5. "I would add the .030" as it would be noticeable to those who know the dimensional differences." Ahaaa, the old "calibrated eye". 383 0r 440 ?
  6. I think it ended here. Doesn't get more hot roddy than this Blown midengined V-8 powered VW Van.
  7. Going to a car show a long long time ago, my wife ask me if I ever thought about whether or not my young son ( about 8 or 9 back then) really enjoyed going with me. Of course I had him in the car and down the road we went. I started thinking about what she said and I ask him: "Son, do you enjoy going to these car shows with me ?" ' Yeah.". That was too easy. I ask him again, only with a little twist on the question. "So what kind of cars do you like?" He paused a second, looked up at me and said: "The ones with the fire on the side" At that point I knew I had him.
  8. After looking around I realized there could be a thread just for interior fads, I.E. shifters:
  9. A couple of things got my attention. First "3 months to 3 years" ? and lastly, yes, the 1/8th scale deuce. Come on, we've got enough of those. I think (just my opinion here) all the work they've put into their 1/25 line of '32's would dictate a 1/25th scale kit.
  10. What size solder ?
  11. Some cool old school speed equipment , Navarro intake and heads, but what was in the last two kits ( '48 Woodie and convertible / roadster)?
  12. I believe they have :
  13. How many happy returns ?
  14. What ? No Coco mats? Looks like you've got just about every accessory made for a VW. I always laugh when I see these restored bugs going down the road with everything but the kitchen sink on them.Great execution just the same.
  15. According to a guy on another board, this news is four years old. But that's just his story.
  16. Here are some parts in 1/16th scale and the web site http://www.straightlinemodeler.org/aurora.html
