  1. "Is there a reason the headers are stuck to the frame?" they aren't glued on, just for looks. I don't like them. Looking for some more of these from Monogram Sizzler dragster Chevy small block.
  2. Nail Head Buicks
  3. enough pie ? they're from the first Revell '55 Chevy.
  4. My thoughts on the matter. First off let ME apologizes, as I made my share of sarcastic posts. When posting the first picturemy thoughts were: "What is this?" I've seen a bunch of stuff from the day and have never come across anything like this. (I have a collection of Hot Rod that goes back to the early '50's). My first thought was of TV Tommy Ivo's first single engine Buick dragster. I must admit my second thought was the same thing Mike Newport came up with, (and again I apologize Mike). I'm really into building AMT's Double Dragster kits right now. I've got all kinds of ideas going, trying to utilize all the parts in each kit.So when I came across this photo(and I can't remember from whence it came) I was really baffled.
  5. At 495 pages and somewhere around $5 you can't go wrong. I've read this one more than once.High Performance: The Culture and Technology of Drag Racing, 1950-2000
  6. What engine is that ? Jalopnik will tell you.
  7. Thus my comment: "Just my opinion: It seems like we are confusing a culture thing with a technology thing" and by the way Luis, those are nice pipes.
  8. Dave, you're killing me with all this "Art".
  9. Just my opinion: It seems like we are confusing a culture thing with a technology thing, say JEEPNEYS with a BUNDLE OF SNAKES.
  10. and, not hard to understand. Dave, I think this is the key here,"they had a real purpose" ART CARS OK, I get the "Art Cars", but can some one really explain these ?
  11. I like the fan belt and distributor wiring also
  12. I have thought about this before and never followed it up.It seems to me with all the other cool stuff from other sources, craft stores and industrial ('O' rings, for tires) there might be an outside source.I was thinking about something in a hardware store or from a craft store. I guess I'm going in circles, maybe I'd better just get out there and look.
  13. That cap looks great for wiring.
  14. That sounds like the answer. I think you've got it.
  15. One thing I'm considering is adding some weight to the bottom of the 2X4 so it wont fall over so easy.
  16. are we starting a club? I had a total on my right knee. After about a year you don't even notice it. Lose weight.Yeah I'm working on it. Good luck to you Terry.
