  1. It all started with the unbuilt 34 Ford kit and then getting three 40 built trucks to get period parts to use on the 34 kit, then the unbuilt 36 kit came along that is being started and then a built 36 came along that I saved. Back in the late 60s my uncle gave me a bunch of Monogram models he build and wish I would have kept them and will try to get them all again.
  2. This is how it looked when I got it.
  3. I had some hood sides but one broke taking it off the body.
  4. I am liking it much better.
  5. This one arrived in the mail today and could not find any trace of turquoise so were any molded in black,it's a 60s kit or someone made sure to paint every part of the body. This one was also going to have some parts robbed off it but again too nice and do have one with a box and unused parts coming that will have parts robbed off it.
  6. Yes it's a Monogram as it has the same numbers cast in the parts as my unbuilt 36 kit, after further investigation I seen someone have carved a slot in the engine for the axle. The original builder must have used AMT parts for a better selection of wheels,I am going to keep those axles and use rims and tires I have in stock.
  7. The other two look to be scale 13 or 14 inch and I thought it kind of looked like a 8 lug rim.
  8. I picked up a 60s built 36 Ford coupe that fell apart in transit,it had been built with AMT suspension so I found a matching set of rims and will try to find paint to match. It came with mismatched chrome rims from the 60s.
  9. Picked up a 60s built Monogram 36 Ford coupe that it looks like has AMT axles and these were on it.
  10. It's definitely Monogram as it's molded in tan and has the same numbers cast into the parts as my unbuilt Monogram 36 kit, going to leave the AMT? axles on it for now. Might end up getting a later kit for axles since I need the later kits engine for the unbuilt kit.
  11. It does have some neat tail lights.
  12. Picked up a built 36 Ford coupe and it does have the optional sbc but it has metal axles so did they ever have them or it could have some AMT parts installed many years ago.
  13. Looks like it's like the 34 kit, optional engine, custom grille and different wheel covers but it also has a dropped front axle and two larger tires and I think other chrome goodies like side pipes.
  14. Just can not get myself to paint over what it came in,they did a good job back then with the molding process. I have a 90s truck kit molded in a metallic color and it's horrible so it needs painted.
  15. Came with a partial AMT instructions.
  16. I missed that optional engine on the box.
  17. It only came with the stock parts and missing some engine parts so did it come with a optional engine or rims and tires.
  18. It's this kit.
  19. After 50 plus years it's starting to go together,it's going to be a minimum paint build since I like the color it came in and the only paint will be used are on the engine, seat inserts and other small details. Still need to find a engine since it was missing half of the stock engine and no optional parts, this is the 60s coupe/convertible kit.
  20. This project has parts from the 60s,70s and 90s. The body and frame are from the 90s and the top and hood are from the 70s,the interior and custom grille are from the 60s. The engine is from the mid 70s 41 Lincoln Continental kit.
  21. I have others I would like to build first so I will think about it and consider it to do in the future.
  22. Might be a little harder to make the hood open then I was hoping.
  23. I wás looking at it in the store and looks to not have a engine and just a plate,so does it have a opening hood and are there any inner fenders or other under hood details. I do have a few FE engines that could be used in it.
  24. I was looking at the regular stores.and looking mainly at spray paints.
