  1. Oh I think I can come up with a set of those but would like to use mostly vintage parts since its a unbuilt kit
  2. If I can find any,I have never seen any since that kit came out years before I started building. When it came out I was starting to play with Matchbox cars.
  3. I looked when it first arrived but it got sat aside and piled stuff on it.
  4. I did not start building until around 70 to 72 so I did not get to see the original versions.
  5. Are all those model A kits and other older cars even the stock special interest in the mid 70s or what ever they were called all based on kits from the 60s,I really liked those Monogram kits when I was a kid since I reall did not have to paint them.
  6. I think they are model a but will look again.
  7. I would like to see what the stock rims look like with the original kit.I think all the 70s had those aluminum slots.
  8. Can anyone get me pictures of what they look like,I have only built 70s and newer versions and would like to see what the originals look like. I am wanting to build a early 50s hotrod out of the 60s 34 kit using all vintage or vintage based Monogram parts, thinking about using 41 lincoln rims since they will be easier to find but would like to see what the original 40 kit had.
  9. Was there ever a kit made of the sedan, the altered wheelbase should have been made as a sedan.
  10. The Lincolns also had a bigger Flathead V8 that was also used in the larger trucks.
  11. I presume it has origins back to the 60s like a bunch of other kits, the one I have is molded in black and I built it in late 74 and my replacement hood hood is molded in white so what is the progression of colors they were molded in.
  12. I just want to say thanks to all I have dealt with on parts and trades,if not for you I would still be looking and I hope I can be of help too.
  13. I will have to see what I can find, might have a pair of Monogram 40 heads and can see if I can get two more.
  14. I was hoping to find a set of finned heads,I do have some flathead intakes that I can cut up to make a multiple carb intake.
  15. Since the Monogram 41 Lincoln I grabbed from the attic is missing a hub cap so I am thinking about lowering it so it tje rear caps will not be seen, and while I am at it could hop up the V12 so did anyone ever cast any speed equipment for that engine or will I have to make them my self. I could see if I can get some 1/25 50s engines to swap in.
  16. Bought this one about 10 years ago and will be built soon.
  17. I originally built it around this time of the year in 1974,built it in the molded black and a few years later repainted it in silver and shortly later went back to black. It got put in the attic at some time and then the hood warped and that is where it stayed for over 30 years. Went to a model show today and found a hood so out of the attic it came and the noticed it was missing the spare tire and one hub cap,its been moved from box to box over the years so I hope I still have the parts. Hood will be painted to match and reglued along with some detailing and that is it.
  18. Here is the ex highway department truck, front suspension is a little too high in the front so I will fix that and try to see where the window wing part fell off at. Got some rims painted yellow and need to find some correct looking small hub caps.
  19. I found a yellow that looks like a fleet color so that is what it got.since I found a F 250 that I want to use the 8 lug rims on this one is going to stay a half ton. To make it a 3/4 ton it would jabe required some surgery on the chassis but it had been painted.
  20. The bed has it too so I am now thinking of painting so its not going to be a minimal paint build now,it now looks like when I build the 1963 34 Ford kit that will be the one that will be minimum paint.
  21. Do not know if it can be seen in the picture but something happened to the color when it went through the mold and its all over the cab but the rest looks good.
  22. The color on this body is just not consistent and just looks cheap,I have a few 60s and early 70s kits that were not painted and they look great. I was hoping to do a lazy build but might not happen,I will post pictures of the body tomorrow of where I have concerns.
  23. This time of the year I have issues painting in the basement so this is will be a build while paint and glue are drying on the other two but after looking over the body I might have to paint, the color is not that great like on 60s and 70s kits.
  24. I got the Monogram 90s F 250.and since its molded in color I am seriously thinking about building it that way like I did when I was a kid and did not have any money for paint, engine and chassis will be painted along with some detailing under the hood and interior but that is it. Anybody ever done that lately.
  25. I have the kit that is lime green and white on the box.
