  1. Rims, tires, engine and other small parts went to other projects and since the rest was in good shape I will do something with it,I have a few FEs most likely from the AMT mid 70s F350 so one is going in. I found what looks like the first generation of Fords automatic trans and it fits better them the C-6,it fills the engine compartment better then I thought it would.
  2. Making room for the V12.
  3. Took the column shift trans off and put on a floor shift,if I could find another of the 60s 34 kit or built one I would love to stick this V12 in a stock looking 34 but the 90s version will have to do.
  4. My parts Lincoln arrived so I took it apart and grabbed the parts off it for the hotrod project, the Lincoln donated the engine and two of the rims and tires. The kit is the 90s version on the Monogram 34 Ford and will need the firewall cut some, front tires are from the Revell 40 standard.
  5. I am going to look onto those hotrod V12s,was thinking about a modern V10 but I would rather do it old school.
  6. I seen pictures of that V12 and might be the best way to go,I was also thinking about going with modern suspension too but I really like old school better.
  7. I am thinking about building a 41 Lincoln with modern drivetrain.
  8. Is there any kits that have that engine or any in resin,I know there is a Viper V10 and might have to go that route. I normally only use old school engines but V8s look small where a V12 originally sat.
  9. If this were full size cars then it might be a bigger problem, now I do have parts and waiting for a car to put them in and I have too many full size cars.
  10. I just hope I can get most of my model projects done but when I get parts for one the left over parts create more.
  11. This one is a little rough since its been painted a couple times and will leave the paint alone but might make it look like a project with a primered hood and just put on the missing lower chrome parts. Now the parts car is going to create two additional projects, the V12 will be going in a 34 coupe and the rest will be a custom with more modern drivetrain.
  12. I seen some on Ebay that might go reasonable,I have a parts car coming since it has some missing parts I did not know that were gone.
  13. It looks sweet, since I will have a extra Monogram V12 I am going to stuff it in a Monogram 34 coupe. Mine is going to be a sleeper and will not be able to tell its in there from the outside.
  14. I have a ZZ Top and 90 version unbuilt so its on.
  15. I am not in a hurry to build it so if I can not find vintage parts in a year or so then I will use modern rims,I have alot to build while trying to find the correct parts. I have a real car project planned where I want to use all 1960 and older parts,I have the engine and trans but need the rest.
  16. Ever since I brought the 41 Lincoln out of the attic it might have started other projects, bought a parts car on Ebay to get parts I did not know were missing so I will have a extra V12 to play with. Since I have some 60s,70s and 90s 34 coupe parts I got thinking about stuffing it down in one of the 34s,some of the Lincoln parts will end up in the 1963 34 coupe build but then I will have a complete body to build a custom 41 Lincoln. Looks like it will never end.
  17. Watching a unbuilt kit but not sure if I want to spend that much money just to get rims and tires.
  18. Got a parts car coming for the Lincoln since it has parts that are missing on mine that I did not know so I am going to have a extra V12 to play with, since I have extra 60s, 70s and 90s 34 coupes I am thinking about stuffing that V12 under the hood of one so I am going to build my own version of a hotrod Lincoln.
  19. Well it looks like Google made a lier out of me as there was one of the original 40s with the stock rims and hubcaps, the last time all they all had the wire wheels or the later versions.
  20. My trouble with Google is usually I find everything but what I am looking for,I posted here first since most on here most likely know what I am looking for and could have that model in their collection. So far all I have found in my searches are the wire wheels and have not been able to see the stock rims and hub caps.
  21. That is what I would like to do and might have find a junker 40 to grab the rims and tires from if I can find one that is not worth restoring. I am going to try my best to use all vintage parts and since the 34 is unbuilt would love to find all new parts but not going to hold out for them.as I could be dead before that happens.
  22. Two of those tires along with two from the Lincoln and some stock rims and 40 caps would be great.
  23. There is a 40 p/u engine in the box that will be going in the 34,found out I do have the rims from the Revell 40 standard but thinking the Lincoln rims might be better. I have others to build before I get to the 34 so I have time to get the parts I want.
  24. What I am trying to do on this build is do a kit bash like someone could have done when the kit was new and not in a hurry so I can try to use all the vintage parts but if I can not then I will cheat and use the newer rims.
