  1. I am going to see if I can find those AMT wheels, not really wanting to buy a kit if I do not have to.
  2. Chrome reverse style and the more I think about it did the 70s version of this have chrome rims.
  3. Rebuilding a 60s AMT 34 Ford pickup that has a chopped top and is just screaming for chrome rims but I do not have four that matches that are for metal axles. What kit would have a set that can be used.
  4. Making some progress, since the hood is glued to the cab and grille shell it's getting a stock engine I would probably never use in a normal build
  5. Picked up this kit just for the speed equipment to use on a 60s 49 build.
  6. Just for those parts but I do have a 50 to be built,it might get the Caddy from the 49 kit.
  7. I would like to have been able to do something with the body so I could make it look better but my hands were tied on this project. It's kind of crude but I kind of like it.
  8. Found a unopened 50 kit locally.
  9. Fresh out of the attic where it's been since the late 70s,not sure what I am going to do with it and depends if I can get it apart without breaking anything. Two piece tires will definitely be going in the trash and looks like it's been repainted at least once.

  10. Drug this out of the attic where it's been since the late 70s,it has finned heads and was that a short lived option. Never seen them on any of the 60s versions I rebuilt.
  11. It looks like I will be getting a 50 kit for the hopped up flathead parts for a 60s 49 build and would like to build a 51 hard top but I could make a chopped top custom hard top.
  12. The 49 the engine will be going in is a original 60s kit so it does not need to be the newer version.
  13. Did the original kit have a top similar to the 51 Victoria,if so I am going to see if I can find one. I would like to see if I can build me a 51.
  14. I am going to buy a 50 convertible kit to.get the engine,I have no problem with using the metal.axle since that is the way the kit was designed, the 49 is going to be built as a shine hauler before the OHV engines. I will then have a 50 to build.and will build it stock using some parts from the 49.
  15. I will still need the axle hole as the 49 kit I am using is from the 60s or just grab the speed parts and put them on the 49 block. Looks like I will have to grab a complete kit as I did not see just a engine on eBay.
  16. I am going to be building a 49 coupe soon but do not want the stock engine or the Caddy but want to use a hopped up flathead,if my memory is correct the 50 convertible had the speed equipment and do all the versions have those parts.
  17. It's just a quick build out of parts I had laying around, unfortunately the body is a little rough and could not be taken apart due to excessive glue. With some help on here I received a fender assembly with matching patina and looks like it was built many years ago,the body came close to being thrown in the trash but it's back together again.
  18. Years ago I thought I seen a mid 50s Ford F800 big job can and fenders being made,I have a Few 53 F100 and mid 50s Chevy cabs and interiors that can donate parts
  19. Does anyone know if any mid 50s Ford and GM big truck can and fenders are being made,I have some semi frames and suspension and would like to build some old big trucks.
  20. Two more to finish before I can get to it,still do not know what engine to use but leaning towards the DeSoto hemi from the 53 F 100 kit.
