  1. The paint is a Testors gold.
  2. This was in that big bunch of parts I got a couple years ago,at first I thought it was a modified AMT 34 Ford pickup but have found out it's a Lindbergh 32 Ford and are kind of crude. Going to see what I have that I can use and will start on it after I reassemble two more from that parts stash.
  3. It's been awhile since I seen any so I do not remember what they had and most likely changed over the years. Anything will work as I have nothing.
  4. Just using parts I have in stock to build it.
  5. Looking for the headers to use with the optional Olds engine.
  6. Found the correct hood to go with the grille and is getting painted.
  7. I had a couple body and sedan fenders from the 60s that I put together to build a 40 standard, only modern parts on this build are the bumper brackets and rims. I have never seen that exhaust so I presume it's from the early kit.
  8. Never noticed the difference in the valve covers before and presume the chromed stock were from the early kits.
  9. Starting to look like a car but out of flat black to paint the running boards so time to go to the hobby shop, found two different sets of headers for the Buick engine and presume the ones that exit under the running boards come from the early kits.
  10. Fenders have paint and will be together this weekend, found a molded in gray Buick engine so it's painted and will be going in. The only non vintage parts are the bumper brackets that came off a Lindbergh chassis
  11. Paint is terrible so it's getting soaked,I found the complete chassis and most likely came with it but was never used. Hood is glued to the body and grille shell so it will not get a complete engine.
  12. This one was in the parts I picked up a couple years ago,was built.with out a chassis to get it very low so I need to come up with one. Did have some.missing parts but not the frame.
  13. More parts found so along with the coupe this one is getting built, this one and the coupe are getting built with parts and paint I have in stock and not going to run to eBay for missing parts. Not much detail and quick build while I come inside to cool off on these hot days, engine is going to be the optional Olds engine with injection.
  14. Thanks for the info, the decals will be removed and it will eventually be made into a gasser.
  15. I found a unpainted sedan body and hood I would like to save and need a set of black sedan fenders.
  16. It looks like one more 40 build could happen, found this sedan body and need to know what class those numbers are for. I was wanting to build a gasser but have no clue on the numbers.
  17. Paint is drying on the chassis and the fenders are soaking to get the paint off plus I think I might have a partially built hemi so when the paint dries on the chassis I will see if it fits. I know it does not have the usual mounts and if my memory is correct it attaches to the frame in the F100 by the front of the oil pan,I have put about every engine in a 40 except for a early hemi.
  18. I am in the process of building another old AMT 40 coupe and still not decided on a engine,I found out I have a unbuilt hemi from the 53 F100 kit and was wondering if anyone has put one in a 40 without too much cutting.
  19. It's got bumpers and took the chrome pen to a set of stock 40 rims, something to do when I come on to cool down.
  20. When I rebuilt alot of the models from that big parts stash I picked up I ended up on ebay finding better parts but on this one I am not spending a penny and using what I have in stock including paint.
  21. Decided on bumpers so the brackets were taken from a junk Lindbergh chassis.
  22. Just when I thought I used up all usable parts I find more.
  23. I really have others I can build but looking to do a quicky on this one, using the last decent body parts from that parts collection I picked up a couple years ago. Going to build this one as a 40 standard since the only good fenders are from a sedan and not sure of the engine but leaning towards the 390 from the 34 pickup kit which I should have one that is unbuilt. Thinking primered bumper less hotrod
