I wish a stock Willys was built
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I received a non gasser/street rod 41 that I am making into a old race car that was put back on the street with parts I have in stock. I will look into those kits to make a more stock looking Willys in the future.I would have tried to make a more stock looking Willys with the body I have but the rear wheel openings are too large so the old race car put back on the street was more appropriate. -
Does anyone know if a 33 to 41 Willys kit was ever made as I would love to have one,I am taking a 41 street rod version and putting a flathead six in it to make something different. I do have some resin parts to build a stock bodied 33 which I need to get out and build but a 38 to 41 stock coupe would be great.

Most likely going to be in primer if I can get the interior out but might see if I can smooth out the hood without disturbing the flames.

Picked up a partial 41 and going to build it with parts in stock,41 Plymouth six and a Camaro front suspension and hood will have the hole filled.

Anybody ever build one of these

Found parts for it at Hershey. -
Got rid of those two piece tires and found some tail lights and decided not to go any further.and leave the rest alone for now.

To be honest I have not done anything different to any 40 kit,a few years ago I bought a collection that had about 20 AMT 40s and almost done restoring them and then there was my obcession with the 60s Monogram 40 pickups which I now have about a dozen so I really do not need to see another 40 for a few years but I know I will be sucked back in soon.

Parts have been found

Restoring a 61 Ranchero screw bottom and needing bumpers and remembered I have a severely warped promo with all nice chrome, will those parts interchange. I am away from home so I can not look at the two.
-
Restoring a original screw bottom and missing the rear bumper and tail lights, the bumper is more important then the lights.

The radio has been repaired,it let the smoke out about 20 years ago and recently had it repaired. The Bluetooth adapter plugs in the phono jack and can be used on any old radio with that function.

Yes the Crosley radio still works and have it to where it has a Bluetooth adapter,I finally found someone who can repair those old tube radios as it had quit working many years ago.

Ordering From Overseas Still?
junkyardjeff replied to oldcarfan's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have no desire to buy anything from those countries at this time,I will do my best to find locally or in the states. I have enough in my stash to keep me busy for years so it should not effect me. -

Not sure on the rims as I think chrome reverse might be better. -
