I had one of those back in 1988. If I remember correctly, there were a few problems with out of scale parts. They weren't much of a problem and could be easily fixed.

Box stock or not, that's one great build. Great job on the paint.

Keith, you have to be the king of the weathered finishes. I had to look at this a bunch of times to make sure it wasn't real. Outstanding.

It's time for me to put some more of Mario's incredible work on the forum. Included is some of the suspension modification work he's done. Hope you enjoy. this big scale stuff really has potential. This one shows the front part of the suspension mostly stock with some styrene added to strenthen the assembly.

I'm posting some pictures for a friend of mine from another non competing site named www.scalemotorcars.com . His name is Mario Lucchini and he's building a 1/8 scale Citroen made by the Heller company. He decided to fully superdetailed this model with some scratchbuilt parts, nuts and bolts and whatever else he could dig up. I thought you guys might like to see the incredible work this builder is doing. When finished, this model will be unlike any other in the world. So that he could have a working stand and a photo platform, Mario scratchbuilt a stand exactly like the one Citroen used when they made the original. Here's the engine in the stand. The next few pictures will show the engine as he adds on parts. More to follow. Hope you enjoy.

You're right Ken, I made that avatar go away. Here's some more pics of an engine I'm scratchbuilding. It's an early Olds Rocket but it's still in progress.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Everything there is in 1/8 scale. Unfortunately the flathead is not a working one. It's the one that comes out of the Big Deuce kit with a bunch of scratch built details. The seat is covered with real vinyl and will go into a deuce kit. Hey Harry, good to see you. You're right, we need good large scale representation. It's a great part of the hobby. BTW, the avatar is a remnant of my former profession.

Hey Gang. I just joined today and found some really nice work here. I thought I would post some of the things I've been working on. Some of you may have seen the stuff on other sites. Here goes. Except for the first picture, everything else is scratch built in 1/8 scale. I love to build in the larger scales because you can really see the detail. Too bad I have to wear thick glasses.
