Can't.... it is part of a club build, it has to be out of the box, no aftermarket or PE added.

I never understood the obsession Americans have with Whitehall tyres, not my preference, however that is a beautiful build you have there... very impressive.

Had a chance to jump onto the bodywork... primed to reveal the moulded seams so I could remove... spot the error???

I must admit I am not as familiar with American automobiles as I would like but one thing I know was the amazing colour options of these vehicles.... I love this one very much.... great start to 2021.

Just saw this modeller from the Netherlands called Ralf Schrooten post his Golf Engin detailing... very impressive stuff. 20210110_170017.mp4

Glad you like it... have to keep it simple but a bit of dry brushing lifts it nicely... the jig is typically for holding electronic circuit boards when soldering but seen other builder's using them... it has proved a useful addition to my tools.

Thanks.... I will add the some orange accents as well... for the purpose of the build I have to keep it basic... I would otherwise maybe add flock and maybe orange seatbelts etc... but not this time.

Hi Geoff, It is such an iconic car, I almost feel bad for turning this into a 'What-If', the Garda never had Range Rovers back in the day... and I am proposing a modern colour scheme od White with day-glo yellow band. A period correct colour would be all over blue (similar to the Gendarmerie)... I did a test spray and didn't like it so decided as it is a what if anyway to go with a more modern scheme.

I started to build the ITALERI reboxing of the old ESCI kit... Range Rover Mk.1... middle of last year. This is quite a simple kit as far as details go... I intend to open up the tailgate to reveal Traffic Cop equipment... and will be doing it as a fictional GARDA version (so will have to print my own decals)... In the kit is a solid moulded front grille... there is no engine in this kit but feel the front end needs some work so I sanded the plastic (from behind) to reveal the openings then strengthened behind with thin strips of plasticard and and rods... I then had to scratch a basic radiator behind. I think it is 100x times better... also the wheels are prepared... next was to begin to assemble the chassis and convert it from 4-seater to a 2-seater interior by extending the rear loading bay, to add more traffic cop equipment. I am building the Fiat Barchetta as a quick build but will jump back onto the Range Rover next.

Rest In Peace.

Oops... somehow the little body lends itself to a speedster... I look forward to seeing that.

As I said this is quite a basic kit an so have completed build sequence 1 to 5.... the underside of the chassis and suspension... I couldn't resist a sneak a look at it with the (unpainted) body attached...

I love it's looks also... I only paid about £20 ($27) but that was maybe 2 years ago...

I have just started a Fiat Barchetta build but my goals for 2021 are to complete stalled builds from 2020 (I got distracted with all sorts of non automotive builds last year)... Goal 1... to finish the Italeri Range Rover Mk.1 in home made Garda Síochána markings. Goal 2, 3 & 4... to finish building Charlie, Arthur and Camp Freddie's cars... (HMP 729G, GPF 146G & LGW 809G) ...after those who knows, I would like to tackle a Ferrari, probably a Mythos.

1907 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, 1/24 Finecast metal kit
Modeller replied to Matt Bacon's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Beautiful car... looking forward to seeing this one progress. I secured (finally) a South Eastern Finecast kit of the Mk.1 Mini Austin/Morris kit just before Christmas. -
Cracking subject, and love the colour choice. Interesting number plate... looks like a Dublin registration to me.

Cheers guys, I had a mix up with the paints and ordered Metallic Orange which turned out more bronze than I wanted... new paint arrived today. I will be using Tamiya LP paints on this build. There is alarmingly very few parts to this kit but as it is part of a 'back to basics' build that is fine... however, it is hard to resist the urge to add details here and there.

Hi guys, My model club are starting a lockdown group build of basic OOB builds, I have chosen as my contribution the Fujimi Fiat Barchetta kit... as it is a pretty basic with no opening parts of engine detail. I figured I would go with the orange finish as per the box art... it will be my first 2021 build. Parts have been washed and I will make a start now.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Z3 (although I'd have the rarer Coupé version...) I just think the Z3 was wrong as a Bond car... even a Z3M would have been better but I don't think it had been launched yet.... but the Bond Z3 did get the Z3M wheels.
