I know Lowriders aren't everyones cup of tea but they have always been 1 of my strongest subjects in this hobby! Here i took an AMT 70 impala hard top , wacked off the roof and reshaped the rear package tray and trunk lines to make a custom drop top . I left the rear trunk with the center dip cause i like the look over the flat lid that they have from the factory . The up top is from a Revell 65 Impala convertible that i cut down and reshaped ! It is a fully detailed . The steering wheel , the rear club plaque, the exhaust, the wheels were all custom made aswhile . Enough of the BS heres a few pics to enjoy !

Dude what a cool build ! I have never seen this wagon version i have the the 2dr coupe i have lowered it and found some custom wheels but after this i think i would rather track down this wagon and customize it up instead ! Again this is a cool project and very good detailing so far ! Mini

Ok i saw this pic posted as a drawing and had to build it ! So this is my end concept ! Its been along time since i posted any thing over here ! I will be back soon with more new builds completed and over on the project page soon ! Thanks for letting me share and hope you like ! PS The decals will be removed soon also . I only have them on there for a contest i had this in the LITE Commercial class so it had to have badges so i chose these for the time being LOL !

Hey Bob where the 69 ltd come from ? I started 1 many years ago and I don't remember where it ended up . When I let it go it was in primer , I used a 65 impala for the roof , I hinged the hood and trunk . But for the life of me can't remember where or who it went too.

THIS BUILD HERE WAS FOR MY BROTHER ! HE WAS A HUGE MUSTANG FAN AND HAD COLLECTED DIE CAST ,PICTURES , SIGNS,AND OWNED A FEW . HE PASSED AWAY IN DEC,08 . HE WAS MY OLDER BROTHER AND NOT A DAY GOES BY WITH OUT I THOUGHT OF HIM . I THINK IF HE WOULD HAVE HAD A CHANCE TO BUILD HIS OWN REAL 08 STANG IT WOULD LOOK LIKE THIS ! I DONT DO DECALS MUCH BUT I HAD TO ADD THIS ON THE BUILD CAUSE OF THE GHOST RIDER ! I KNOW IN MY HEART HE IS ENJOYING THIS ! CHAD W. IRWIN 1/23/74 - 12/13/08 I MISS YOU ! I ADDED SMALL LITTLE DETAILS THAT REMIND ME OF CHAD ! HE WAS A GREAT POOL PLAYER AND WE ALWAYS GOT TOGETHER AND PLAYED POKER SO IN THE CAR I ADDED A POOL STICK , A RACK AND A CUE BALL AND I MADE A POKER CHIP TO HANG FROM THE REAR VEIW MIRROR !
