    Minifest 2013.

    Nice!
  3. Exceptional!!
  4. Nice.
  5. I did not say anything about 'thickness.' I was speaking of the quality of the substance (as David G. said). It did not take long to read through the elementary-level writing of SA(noE), but it takes longer to read, comprehend, and absorb the higher degree-of-difficulty material produced by MCM. It takes longer to read the same number of Michener pages than Dr. Suess pages.
  6. Live in your own world, Lee. I once had that problem with my subscription to SA(noE). It was the only magazine or catalog - of many - that ever arrived damaged. Turned out the letter carrier was reading my SA(noE) every month before delivering it. Apparently it's hard to read and preserve the condition of a magazine while you're driving the little Jeep. Even the Lovely & Gracious Mrs. B's magazines arrived every month undamaged. (But who reads those, anyway?) After the letter carrier was "re-assigned," I never received a damaged SA(noE) again. Throughout it all, I never blamed SA(noE).
  7. The Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild is holding a Reunion in Scottsdale at the Scottsdale International Auto Museum at the Pavillions on Friday, January 18 and Saturday, January 19. Hand-crafted concept models that were entered in the historic Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild competitions will be displayed as their creators gather at this occasional reunion (last one was four years ago in Boston). The display will be open Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. This represents a rare opportunity to see some of the finest and most creative hand-crafted styling exercises ever modeled.
  8. Exceptional!!
  9. Beautiful!!!
  10. Nice Nomad!
  11. Dittoes!
  12. Hey, Marty! Welcome aboard the board. Anybody from Land's End is a welcome addition here, even if you claim to know Gregg aka: da Burger King Big Kahuna. Looking forward to seeing your builds!
  13. Huh? ?? Are you in the same thread as the rest of us?
  14. Very, very blue! Thanks for thinking of me ... and that little detail. UPDATE: Very cool issue!! Even a how-to from da Big Kahuna ... AKA dBK. {Not to be confused with the Burger King.}
  15. Stunning. What's the source of the meter? Did you scratchbuild that, or is it available somewhere?
  16. Sweet. Very nice build, excellent finish. Just one thing you could easily improve (in my way of thinking): Put a dark wash in the cowl vent slots and it would really enhance the outstanding exterior appearance of the model. Just a thought/suggestion. (Broken Record Department: I'm not big on gold low-rider wires, but they don't look bad on this ride.)
  17. Woo-hoo, now we can look forward to the January issue. Can't wait!
  18. Ray, you gotta complain to your Postmaster. It's probably your letter carrier's ... uh ... issue. Damaged magazines are the exception rather than the rule, and if yours are arriving damaged on a regular basis, it's probably the way it is being handled by humans ~ the sorting and routing machines seem to be more careful and considerate. Every unwrapped magazine I get each month (and there are several subscriptions) arrives in pristine condition ... including MCM. I've never had a damaged MCM. Just sayin' ...
  19. Mine arrived yesterday, too, as I posted in a stand-alone thread elsewhere. Very good issue. I'm only part way through reading it, and it has already taken longer to read than the SA(no E) Febbhooairy '13 pamphlet.
  20. Very nice!!!
  21. Tom's right. There's nothing subtle about the differences between a 700 and a 900 or Century/1000. Side by side:
  22. How do we know if that's a full-sized bill or not? Is that a pre-2008 dollar bill or a post-2008 dollar bill?
