  1. . . . not unlike a typical club meeting . . . . . . not unlike a typical club meeting . . .
  2. Well, that explains that. Thanks, Harry. Not being a Simpsonsite, I had no idea. Guess I just live in an English-speaking world, rather than a world where language is invented randomly by anarchic cartoon creatures. Meh.
  3. I'm in agreement that the rear kinda looks like all that's left of a Camaro that was swallowed up by a larger fish. I would have done something different. I'm not sure about the roof ... the jury's out so far. Haven't made up my mind. Very Fiero-ish ~ but that's not necessarily a bad thing. All the folds and slots and cuts are reminiscent of the Corvette Concept car that was featured in the Transformers movie. It's a "current trend" styling thing. Sorta like all those "high-end" foreign cars running around with the oddball shapes formed out of K-Mart rope lights ... no sense, no style ... but it's "hot." PS: What does "meh" mean?
  4. And when Camaro-style rear end treatments would start showing up ... Enter the 7-speed C7! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
  5. Very nice!
  6. How come those Australian utes aren't made available in the USA? They are pretty cool.
  7. Very nice! Out of curiosity ... I'm not familiar with these Coopers ... what's the red thing on the firewall?
  8. Good job! Looks like it should.
  9. Nice.
  10. Spectacular!!! Great job.
  11. I thought he was going to say it was an electronic donut finder.
  12. What's that big white thing hanging down behind the rear bumper? Extra capacity fuel tank? Some kind of super-secret police equipment? J/K, Grasshopper.
  13. Just keeps getting better and better! The Clown Fire Truck will fit right in!
  14. So we need a deadline. Since you're coming to Desert Scale Classic, how's about that's the deadline? Show down ... April 20, 2013 ... my town ... El Rancho Casa Baker ... be there or be square, Hombre!
  15. G, One commonly mentioned chassis (as I recall, but don't know because I haven't done it yet) is the AMT '68 Pymouth Belvedere. Another is the AMT '71 Dodge Charger. I haven't tried that one, either ... because I've used all my '71 Charger chassis on older JoHan kits (sixties Mopars). Either way ~ ~ ~ or even using the Roscoe kit chassis (did I really just say that?) ~ ~ ~ whatever you do ... lose the kit wheels!!!!!! Build-off, my award-winning friend???
  16. NYPD? They do. Or, at least ... they used to!
  17. Absolutely incredible! One of the very few instances when the word 'Awesome' is entirely appropriate! Amazing build, Shawn. Just stunning. Makes gluing parts together look ... so ... insignificant. Now that I've added you to my short list of Creative Idols of Modeling ... (Charlie Rowley, Mark D. Jones, Randy Ditton, Bill Geary, John Teresi, Chris Sobak and of course Jim Fernandez) ... there's only one thing left for me to do . . . Time to seal up the model room and seriously start that butterfly collecting hobby. I'm so far out-leagued here.
  18. Looks great!
  19. If they don't have 'em, nobody does.
  20. !
  21. Anybody have a link (or even a lead) where one could buy VA State Trooper decals in 1:24/1:25 scale?
  22. What? The spotlights aren't functioning too? Looks great Jonathan. You shouldn't have any trouble upstaging Danno since this is your thread and he keeps hijacking it. You've got my vote.
