  1. Hey Guys, I finished this KW last winter. This is the old the reissue of the old AMT K-123. Modifications include; air ride rear suspension from the snap KW conventional detailed and modified to fit, the Cummins engine modified to replicate the Big Cam III series, the grab handles are metal somewhat bent to shape, new bumper, and high back seats inside. Thanks for viewing!!!
  2. Super builds, great work, quite impressive!!!!
  3. Harry, the little chrome deflectors are on the front of the cab kept the doors from getting caked with road BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. By time II got in to trucking, most of the cabovers were history. Thanks to everyone for their comments!!!
  4. Hey Guys, I have always liked the look of the old Freightliner Cabovers. We all know the issues with the AMT version of the 86" cab. As you can see from the photos, plenty of mods were made. The engine is a combination of two Detroit V8s' modified to replicate a V12. The headache rack is scratch built. There is an air ride suspension instead of the Reyco spring set up. Thanks for viewing!!!!
  5. Hey Guys, The base kit of this project is the snap Pete kit. There is a mixture of parts from AMT and Revell. This became more and more of challenge as it slowly went together. Thanks for viewing!!!
  6. Hey Guys, As stated in the title, this is a parts box build of an old Diamond Reo. Can't remember where all of the parts came form, just tried to make an old mobile home mover. Thanks for viewing!!!
  7. Hey Guys, Now that I have finally figured out how to import photos from Fotki, I will soon start post more of my collection. This is an old starcar I made a few years ago. I can't remember all of the modifications. I don't think I have ever built anything straight from the box! Thanks for viewing!!!
  8. Tim, As always..............simply outstanding work!!!
  9. Absolutely beautiful, great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Thanks guys for the comments, to answer the questions; the tires are from KJ at Double Take Replicas. I love the way the tires look and feel, they are rubber, not resin!!! The color for the cab is the same as the frame, the hood has the same base color with purple and orange almost horizontal stripes. I know this sounds crazy!!! There is a local dump truck company that sports those colors. I will update when I get close to the finish line.
  11. Hey Guys, My latest project on my work bench. I attempting to make a Pete dump truck replicating a local dump company. Changes to the base AMT Pete 359 Kit include; Cat engine from the Revell snap kit, suspension from the parts box, front floats from the Revell Pete Wrecker, dump box from the Paystar kit, as well as rear tires from KJ which are fantastic. Still have a long way to go, thanks for viewing!!!!
