    This one was reportedly a former Esso station, moved to the property of the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, ME. Pictures from 1991. I love the weathering.

    I am not well versed in prewar American Flyer (prior to the brand's move to S Gauge) but this is probably from the mid to late 1930s.

    I wasn't even aware this car had belonged to Buster Keaton until I saw a video clip on Facebook from a Keaton film showing himself at the wheel of a Model T while another character pulls up next to him in a sporty car, what turned out to be his Mercer. The discussion in the comment section was fascinating.

    At least one Mercer Raceabout was converted to a truck. The first two pages are photocopied from an old book on car restoration. The second article I recently found posted on Facebook. Interestingly, it is the very same car. These sources, randomly found decades apart, show the complete restoration back to original configuration of the car once owned by none other than Buster Keaton! Now I'd like to find more pictures of its truck form.

    Different situation but i remember there was a time many years ago when some eBay listings had cheap prices but exorbitant shipping. These were considered scammy.

    I used the roof of a Blackforce on a Monogram Lincoln Continental. The trunk lid looked a bit short so I reshaped it. Out of curiosity I dropped the remaining BF body on the Continental chassis. The interior bucket almost fits. The BF cowl is way narrower. The Continental trunk bustle fits the area between the rear fenders. The convertible boot fits OK as well if you shorten it to start just behind the door shut line (or reshape the doors). I don't recall how well wheelbases lined up. Note that the Continentals had slightly different body proportions compared to standard Zephyrs of the same year, though they used the same chassis.
