Thanks Dale, I'm a renderer (solid plasterer) by trade and used to be around new buildings a fair bit. I've since moved on from the trade. I'm hoping to have some more done this weekend. I've also started a new r34 build, trying to get the juices flowing again. I have been very stagnant of late.

Thanks David, my only advise to you so far is just do it. Sorry I haven't done any updates, we have just moved house and I am trying to get everything sorted. Updates will be coming soon, I promise.

Nice weathering, as Richard said "looks like the 1:1". Digging it.

Thanks mate, I know there are types of them and either would do. I know there is a hilux I can get, but the ol' 2.8d isn't really up to towing a trailer.

I'm hearing ya, I'm trying to find a Tamiya 80 series cruiser without having to pay a small fortune in shipping. Thanks Cliff.

Thanks Mark, not best build. I do like the lines of the 240, so why not build one. Thanks Shaun. I do like the imports, it's a shame they don't do to many local cars at the same price as the American and Japanese cars. Thanks, it was my first time painting a body with the air brush. I learnt a lot on this build.

I am amazed at your talent, I was thinking a candy apple green with some trumpets out of the cut out in the hood??? Maybe something like this??? http://www.newsonair.org/images/inspiring-candy-apple-green-car-paint-3-candy-apple-green-paint-job-500-x-333.jpg -
Thanks Richard. In one of the pictures it shows an opening on the side, I plan to leave that part of the wall open to be able to take photo's from an inside perspective. Looking at it again, I may even add some more studs to make the opening a little bit smaller and the roof won't be complete so I can get that high shot.

Hi Tom, I am planning to detail/weather the inside before I do final fitting. I had planed to make the roof fixed with a cutout in the roof for camera access, but a removable roof would be handy to add further details and placement of vehicles. Thanks for advice.

Thanks for the tip Sam, that just adds to the confusion for the exterior. I was thinking of using balsa to clad it (chamfer board) and tin for the roof. I have way more to worry about for the interior before I start planning the exterior.

I say don't wait, Jump in and start building. It is amazing to watch it come to life.

Thanks Mark, I hope to have some more updates in the coming days.

Thanks Slusher.

Thanks Sam, unforunfortunately no snow where I am. I wish we hadsnownthay was clsercloser to us, 16hr drive is abit far for a weekend away. I'm undecided on what the out side will be. I was thinking either a plastruct or evergreen product, but then what would be the fun in that?
-
thanks Foxer, coming from a building background myself I know that is what some builders do. I may add a few more roof trusses yet. I lol alil when you stated it wouldn't meet building codes, what council doesn't know won't hurt them. No snow where i am, onlyb2 weeks into spring and already 30c.

So I got a little more done today. I got the roof structure built up, some bracing panels. The roof is not fixed yet so I can get in the and start adding some details. Thanks again for looking. Any and all questions or comments welcome.

I appreciate that coming from you. Your builds are awesome.

Over here it's not unheard of to have people build shed's that are bigger then their houses. Quite offen people will put a 6m(19') x 9m (29') on a 650sqm (7000sqf) block.
-
Thanks Darbo. I will warn you now, you will be following for awhile. lol Thanks for the comment Tom. This is going to have more of a front yard then sides. It will have a driveway and some detail in the front. The bottom wall has a large opening in it to enable camera access and the front wall has the main door in it. The large space to the left will have more details then I care to think about.

Thanks Dann, it is a nice kit to build.

Hi all, So this is my first attempt at building a diorama and thus far probably won't be my last. It will be a slow process, as work and family come first. My base is from an old desk and is cut to 600mm (24") x 300mm (12"). I started with some 2.5mmx75mm sheet and ripped it down to make 2"x4" using the Master Airscrew balsa stripper. All frame work is set to have 600mm centers and has a head height of 3m. Now I know some things are not quiet right, but I'm happy with how it is coming along. The shed is about 7.5m x 10m and the walls have been made with a 6m length. Any advice, don't be afraid to give it and comments are always welcome. This will be an ongoing project and I will update as time permits. I know nothing is perfect, but sheds/houses aren't built perfect and I've tried to recreate that. Thanks for looking.

Wow, simply stunning. There is something about this era of car that can not be reproduced. Nice save.
