After some time in the freezer I was able to get some of the parts apart. There was a little damage, but nothing I can't handle. I glued the rear axle back together and used some evergreen tubing to add some support. I glued the roof and was able to find the missing chuck. The kit comes with an overhead console, so that will add some support. More next time.

I bought this kit used. It was partially built and partially painted. It was in pretty rough shape. The roof was broken down the middle and had a chunk missing out of it. And the quarter panel/bumper was cracked. The rear axle was also broken. The tires were missing so I got these wheels/tires from an r/c car and some 3d printed brakes. I'm going to stick the sub assemblies in the freezer and try my luck at getting them apart. I'm sure there will be some more missing parts as I go, I'll just have to deal with them as I discover them. More next time.

Thanks, but I specifically want the Revell stripes. I'm not building a pace care, the car I'm building a replica of has orange stripes and the too orange stripes from the Revell kit are just about right.

I'm in need of the hood and deck stripes from the Revell '69 Camaro pace car. I ordered some aftermarket ones, but when they came they were red, not orange. Thanks

I built this replica of DK's Fairlady Z from the AMT kit. It has 3d printed wheels, tires and brakes and a license plate from my parts box. The kit went together pretty easily, taping off the 2 tone paint was probably the hardest part. The 20 year old decals started to disintegrate while I was applying them. Every time I tried to move a broken piece, it broke further so I just decided to leave it before I made it worse. The body is out of proportion, but looks a lot better without the cartoonishly large wheels and tires.

I built this replica of Brian's Skyline from Fast Five. It's mostly box stock from a Fujimi kit. I lowered the suspension and narrowed the track width to get the stance right. In the movie you can see that the license plate is yellow, but not clear enough to read it,so I printed out a random yellow Brazilian license plate.

I built this replica of the Monte Carlo from Breaking Bad from the Revell Monte Carlo SS kit. It has a front end from canuck3d, wheels and tires from Pegesus and the front bench seat is from a '76 Caprice. I lowered the suspension, printed the plates and made the dice from some beads. A special thanks to Khils for helping me out with replacement tail lights.

Sweet! What do you want for them?

Does anyone have a driver's side tail light from a Revell '86 Monte Carlo they'd be willing to part with?

All done. -
I built this from the original 1983 issue AMT kit. The only things that didn't come in the box are the license plates and the tires. I didn't care for the decals, so I painted the stripes on, and there was no telling how 40 year old decals would act.

I got everything out of paint. Now on to final assembly. Hopefully I'll be able to get it done in the next week or so. -
I built Dom's Challenger from Fast 5/6 with an AMT 2008 Challenger, a transkit I got on eBay and a license plate that I made.

Thanks. The paint is Rustoleum color shift.

I built this box stock for a friend of mine. I had built her a few models over the years but a couple years ago her family lost everything in a house fire, they only made it out with the clothes on their backs. I figured it was about time I built her another one to restart her collection.

We had a couple days of painting weather and I was able to get some clear on the body. I want to get a couple more coats of clear on it, but that will have to wait for some more good weather. I was also able to get the grill detailed an I got the license plates on. More next time. -
I built this from a resin kit. The resin kit was based on the truck kit and had a lot wrong with it. I corrected what I could and had to learn to live with what I couldn't. This is a replica of a friend's Suburban. He bought it to restore so he could fit his growing family in it. I built it how he wanted it took when it was done. I stretched a '72 Blazer chassis to fit the Suburban wheel base. I used some resin 8 lug wheels. I cast the Blazer seats so it would have 4 bucket seats like he wants. He has a set of vintage clearance lights he's going to add. He's planning on painting it Kia alien green. He wanted to use a readily available color that was close to the factory color. I got some glue on the windshield. I'm not sure when it happened, I didn't notice it until I already had the interior and chassis installed. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it now. Here's a picture of the 1:1 at the beginning of the restoration. And here's the model.

I built this one box stock from the Polar Lights kit. It was a fun build that took a lot of detail painting.

I finished 15 models this year and I purchased 0. I felt like my stash was getting too big and set myself a goal of not buying any new kits this year.
