I ordered this kit online and it didn't survive the trip. The seller gave me a refund, so that's no big deal. This is a 2 in 1 kit so it has a lot of extra parts and I want to see if I can salvage it.

I built this from the AMT kit with decals from the Revell kit. It's my 3rd build from the first movie.

I built this from the AMT kit that's been in my stash since I bought it new in 2003. When I bought it I had no intention of building it and I took the engine, the wheels & tires and the NOS tanks out of it. I recently remembered that I never did use the wheels & tires for that other project, so if I glued the hood shut, and grabbed a couple of NOS tanks out of another kit, I could still build it. Because it doesn't have an engine, I didn't intend on opening the hood vents, but after having to strip the hood twice because I screwed up detailing them, I decided it would be easier to just cut them out.

I finally had a chance to get some pictures out in the Sun.

I built this box stock mostly to try out this prismatic paint. Prismatic paint usually looks best on cars with a lot of curves or cars with a lot of sharp edges, and this car has both. There is a lot more green in person that the camera wasn't picking up.

Ahhh, that explains the tab for the intercooler. Thanks for the info!

You're right, it's curbside with very simplified chassis. Yes, it's the kit at the end of the video.

Thanks, it was a fun kit to build. It was actually one of those former motorized toy kits.

Sorry, no wip pics, but here's a video of the real car so you can at least see what I was going for.

Thanks. They just sent me the wrong color. it's supposed to use a black base, I tried a white base on a spare trunk lid just to see, and it's still pretty dark. This is what it's supposed to look like.

I built this from the Tamiya kit. The wheels and tires are from a BRZ. It came with a flat block off plate for the front bumper that had some mesh detail molded in. That was a little disappointing, especially for a Tamiya kit. I notices the chassis had a little tab that looked like an intercooler was supposed to mount to, so I grabbed a spare I had from an R34 kit, and it fit perfectly. It made me wonder why they didn't include one, it seems like they were planning on it. I special ordered a can of Midnight Purple II, but what I got was just a really dark purple. Because it was supposed to be a color shift paint, I used a black base, which made it even darker. If you squint real hard and use your imagination, maybe you can see the purple.

Thanks. Yeah, this kit had 3 grills, 3 tail light panels, 2 sets of mirrors, 2 sets of seats, extra speakers and stereos and a bunch of other stuff.

I built this from the Aoshima kit. I made the door panels out of sheet styrene and aluminum bmf to replicate the sheet metal interior of the real car and made the steering column out of styrene rod. This was a simple kit and was fun to build. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I built this from the Revell kit. I used Tim Kolankiewicz's stockings tip for the pop up tent, orange flocking for the carpet and a soft spare cover from my parts box. This is a fun kit that goes together well and has a lot of detail. The opening side door even conveniently hides a run in the paint.

Thanks. It's Rustoleum light terquois.

I built this from the Fujimi kit. I lowered the suspension and added some negative camber. The wheels and tires are from Eternity Hobby Supply. Everything else came in the box. I'm really happy with how it came out and now I kinda want a Prius.

That's a gorgeous red head!

Thanks. I haven't given it to him yet. I finished just in time to hop a plane tonight to where I used to live for a wedding. I'll be giving it to home tomorrow.

My buddy Charlie treated himself to a 2021 Scat Pack Charger for Christmas 2020 and immediately ask me to build him a replica. I was excited when AMT announced the 2021 R/T so I could make Charlie his replica. I made what changes I could to make the kit look more like a Scat Pack including: leaving off the engine cover and filling in the holes in the intake, painting the spoiler flat black instead of body color and adding some 392 Hemi badges. The only modification I couldn't make that I wish I could have was the the grill. With my luck, I'm sure it won't be long before AMT announces a Scat Pack version of this kit.

Here are a couple of mine.

I built this from the Fujimi kit with Aoshima wheels and tires. I lowered the suspension a little, everything thing else came in the box. I was surprised to find out that there was a kit of a second generation Skyline. It was a good kit and went together well.

This is my replica of the R33 Skyline from The Fast And The Furious. I built it from the Tamiya kit with the transkit from Ukrainian Scale Cars Production. The transkit came with the wheels/tires and decals and everything was outstanding quality. The only modifications I had to make to the kit was to notch the front bumper. I scratch built the roll cage out of solder and added a muffler from my parts box. The movie made this car famous and after the movie it became infamous. If you don't know the story of this car you should look it up, it's very interesting.

She's all done. Here's the under glass post.

I built this from a Fujimi kit. I made some modifications to the suspension and wheels to get it to sit how I wanted it. The exhaust tips are aluminum tubes, everything else came in the box. Here's the WIP thread if you want to check it out.
