  1. Buick grille from Revell Merc kit. Frenched lights. Bumpers from new Revell '48 Ford kit. Paint is Duplicolor silver and metallic blue. Tried to creat kind of an IN SCALE lace paint job by "stippling" black paint with a stubby brush onto the silver. All buried under Testors Wet Look clear and polished. Caddy wheel covers from the long defunct SJS Resin.
  2. This will be a custom. Don't know about the paint yet. It'll come to me eventually.
  3. Over 100 hard cover books and well over 2500 magazines dating back as far as 1951.
  4. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I guess I've figured it out,,,,maybe. It has certainly become much more complicated to post photos than any other forum.

  6. http://images53.fotk...IMG_3225-vi.jpg I've spent well over an hour trying to simply post photos. That was after spending 1/2 hours logging in with new passwords. I've looked for clues to post a simple photo. I give up on this place since all the WONDERFUL UPGRADES.
  7. If the pics are on YOUR computer, there is NO url. To post pictures on the forum, the pics have to be on a photo hosting site, i.e. FOTKI or PHOTOBUCKET.
  8. Revell flathead. Revell Caddy engine from '49 Merc kit. Revell ARDUN head flathead.
  9. Reps & Mins straight-8. Can be built stock or hot rodded. AMT Chevy 6 Revell hemi with Latham blower. Pontiac with carb scoops and headers from Reps & Mins.
  10. I saw the testshot of the convertible. It is VERY nice, just like the current 2 door sedan. It comes only with a boot - no up-top. I'm sure one of the reputable resin casters will provide an up-top.
  11. Not trying to nit-pick or be a p.i.a. (although I guess I am), but it can't be a gasser. It's an altered. A gasser has to have fenders and street-legal equipment, lights, etc. With THAT said,,,,,,,,,WOW, what a wild and creative model !!!
  12. The '41 will be the Revell '48 body with the'41 front end and '41 grilles.
  13. There is absolutely no reason to use the metal wire axle from the 1960's. That was on the instructions so that we kids (50 years ago) could roll the thing around on the floor. Just use the plastic axle, like any other kit.
  14. Nick - read above. Reps & Mins does not have one,,,,,,,,,yet.
  15. I built the hot rod version but it comes with all the stock parts.
  16. I get asked this ALL the time. I just haven't got around to doing one yet for Norm. The only resin one I've ever seen was 24th scale for the older Monogram '32 and it wasn't completely accurate. There may be other resin B-400's that I haven't seen. There is extensive work to be done to make an ACCURATE B-400. Currently. I'm making a '41 Ford coupe body to be used with the NEW Revell '48 Ford Chopped custom kit.

Tailights are from Revell '49 Merc kit with lenses painted tamiya clear red. Headlights are modified BIC pen capswith KingBee lights inserted from Revell '32 Ford kit. 21. I tried to delete this post but can't. I haven't posted here for awhile and things are different. I can't figure out how to post multiple pics. I can do it on every other forum I'm on.

  23. ? What does that mean?
  24. This thing fought me all the way. Tim Boyd made this version of this kit look easy in S.A.#108, but it seems like I had to scratch build or modify almost everything. Testors Root Beer and Duplicolor Gold with a hand-painted red separation line, buried in polished Testors Wet Look Clear. Most of rear end from AMT '25 "T" kit. Reworked Revell '32 Ford louvered trunk lid. Dudek tailights. 409 from a Lindberg '61 Impala kit and some parts box stuff. Front suspension is mostly a modified front end from a Revell '32 Ford kit. Something for the 25th scale pervs among us.
