  1. That thing looks horrible and I mean that in a good way.
  2. Thanks. I agree LEGO is good for when you are stumped or get tired of building models. I have about 10 homemade LEGO cars and trucks.
  3. I would race you in one of my 57 corvettes
  4. I painted the frame yesterday and got it all mocked up.
  5. Very cool. I will be watching.
  6. Thanks guys. I would love to get some wheels like that. Where is BNL located? The transfer case is mounted and I got the 3 drive shafts biult. The back axle is out of a revell 91ford dually, the t case is from a amt 79 Firestone ford and the fron diff is from a revell 79 gmc.
  7. Thanks guys unfortunately this one is currently sitting on the shelf of incomplete project due to the fact that I ran out of the styrene rod that I was using. I did place an order with my local hobby shop so hopefully I can get it soon and start working on it again.
  8. I have a lot of projects that get stopped right before paint because I can never choose a colour and even when I do I’m afraid of painting it because I don’t want to mess it up. another problem I have is I just don’t want to finish a project because I’ve had so much fun building it I don’t want it to end.
  9. One of My favourite tuners are the old Z cars along with the old Nissan Skyline 2000gt
  10. I hate when people do stuff like this. It gives all the Diesel truck a bad name when not every Diesel truckload is like this. I seen a “Tuner” the other day that drove past that sounded like it was fast but it was a rusty old civic with a big exhaust tip and a 50” light bar on the roof that was wider that the car. It really makes a person wonder what on earth they were thinking?
  11. The last suv that rots biult on a truck platform was the ford excursion and they haven’t made it since about 06 The only American made suv that is on an actual truck platform is the Chevy/GMC suburban/Yukon.
  12. I like them with either the pickup bed or nothing.
  13. the plan for this biuld is affordable (something a teenager like me could afford and put a little money into here and there) so the paint won’t be the best there rust, parts from all sorts of different trucks and dents. I have converted the front suspension to leaf springs and I am building a Dana 44 for the front axle and the rear end will have a Dana 60. My inspiration. Comments welcome.
  14. I was searching the web earlier and came across something called the VEMCO V drive and just thought that I would share it with everyone as it would be cool to biuld in scale.
  15. You have some a amazing project. I have to ask. have you ever biult a model car box stock or do you cut up everything you biuld?
  16. I got the interior mock-up today. I built a shifter and found a tack for it.
  17. Do you have any pics of your project? The hood was my biggest concern with this kit when I first got it and thankfully it is not warped.
  18. I am using flux core wire I would like to use gas as it makes a much better weld but I don’t have any. the axle shafts had a small bevele in them to begin with but I didn’t have a proper jig to weld it in. The pic below is what I’m going to do to it. I will replace the 2 small shafts with 1 long shaft.
  19. I am using a small miller MIG welder. The axle shaft is 3/4” thick. I think the problem was that I didn’t have enough heat so the weld didn’t penetrate properly.
  20. The surface was as clean as I could get it. Here is the only pic i have right now. I can get some more later if you guys want.
  21. I wrecked the welds on my race lawnmower differential well testing it. This is the 4th time I have wreck the welds and it is really starting to make me frustrated!
  22. It is now sitting on its own 4 tires. Next step is to choose a colour. I am still not shure about the colour I want to go with. I am thinking about Blue, black or green. What do you guys think I should do for colour?
  23. Thanks that’s what I was looking for.
