Update on hood fit. Got another hood today and fit is the firewalls fault.
By prefitting the firewall flush to the top and sides I made the body too narrow
So broke those joints , added some scrap filler, hood now fits fine.
Well it looks like I hit a stopper..the hood fit was past bad, So Revell is sending me a new hood...should be here early this week. In the meantime the spoons got a workout on color. I shot the 2 primary colors on spoons with a white base for the sunrise pearl, but the Red was shot over both white and black....Hmmmm gives me an idea
Note All spoons have same number of coats ..primer, base and clear
I learned here years back..that what you cut..you can always glue it back..I use a lot of Tenax and Pro Weld....almost like welding thing back together...The trick is to let things dry..Tenax lets me do this
No such thing as "hubless"....the hub is not in the center, but outside . It is the same engineering as helo rotors...Billy Lane used a bearing set from a helo to build the first "hubless" motorcycle.."psycobilly"......If you are an engineer, explain why its dangerous please.
Basics...moved the A arms up in the front up to the top of the rails, in the rear, cut the "springs", with a small c notch in the frame,
wanted to use different wheel/tires but the way these fit..I'm happy
It is also speaking loudly......I ran out of red on the last one..I know what I want...just working on the colors.....
But I loved that Blue on the 50.... :D
