  1. Whether it's the "correct" color or not Terry, it's good looking!
  2. This is the old MPC Spirit Of '57, isn't it? Great work on it, i like the primered front end, that's a nice touch!
  3. Jim, this is absoluteyl phenomenal work, I can't do work like this, but I really enjoy seeing a well done diorama! Take a bow, have a nice cold one, and enjoy, you've earned it with this work of art! I think Junior nailed it, that would really make this one hit the right note!
  4. Incredible work so far Christian! I'm waiting for more eye-candy!
  5. Here's a few suggestions for easy builds...AMT's '71 Duster or Charger, '67 Impala, Revell's '58 Firebird or '69 Camaro Convertible, any of their '32 Fords...there's quite a few really easy to build kits out there, I'm sure I missed quite a few!
  6. Here's a link for anyone building Revell's 1967 Corvette Convertible, 195 sharp pictures of just about every part of the car, enjoy! http://firsttraderegistry.com/forsale/9_06/67corvette6/
  7. Nice choice for your first post, it looks great!
  8. Bill, that is gonna look great! I wish I had half your skills when it came to metalwork!
  9. Here ya go Frank, around 185 pictures of a beautifully restored '67 Corvette, enjoy! http://firsttraderegistry.com/forsale/9_06/67corvette6/
  10. Christian, I'd love to see the WIP on this, this is gorgeous! Great job getting the Mustang to look right with the GT40 style roof!
  11. Yeah, age sucks, but the model is looking good, I hope you can get the foil work done in time, it'll really set this baby off!
  12. Great color, and the ride height looks good for the time allowed! Now get back to it, you're running out of time!
  13. No problem at all Will, I just hope it becomes another tool in your arsenal of tricks! And if you noticed, most of the pictures are missing, that's due to Fotki having server issues (That they say will be resolved soon). It seems that some of their servers were in the NYC area and were affected by Hurricane Sandy. Once the server issues are resolved, they say my pictures will be back, we'll see!
  14. Frank, if you ever want to go hog wild on one of these kits, I've got a link to the real one pictured that has all the detail photos you could ever want, the car was up for sale and they took hundreds of pictures. Just let me know and I'll post the link!
  15. John, this is some killer body work, and the design looks great! I'm waiting to see this baby in color, it should be incredible! Oh, and I'm down with all the others, I want this body in resin!
  16. Dan, that is one pretty '67! the last picture is just beautiful, perfect stance and the rims look great on it!
  17. Are you going for the same paint scheme...it does look perfect for the '61!
  18. I take it this is the Revell '67 Corvette kit? If so, it's a great kit, but it has a few bad flaws that you should be able to fix easily. One is the rocker panels, there's a big gap between the rocker trim and the side pipes, removing a bit of the extra plastic from the bottom of the rocker should fix it. The vent windows need a small shim added to the bottom edge to get it to meet the top of the doors, otherwise they're "floaters" when aligned with the top of the windshield. The other problem is the windshield wipers themselves...you're on your own there, I just left 'em off without figuring out how to make 'em fit!
  19. Here ya go Don, I figured this fits nicely! http://youtu.be/_okSlFkkUpE
  20. Beautiful color Chris, a nice clean build, and the Snowflake rims look great on it! Did you chrome the firewall on this, it looks like it, but it's hard to tell for sure...
  21. I remember seeing the yellow high-beams all the time as a kid in Illinois and Indiana, and I don't remember if they were of any help either.
  22. Man, that radiator shell is stunning! If you've gone this far at the start, I can't wait for the completed build!
  23. Thanks for the info Chris, I really appreciate it! I've got an old AMT '64 Impala around here that I'm going to use for practice!
  24. Beautiful Cutlass Chris, I've got one painted in that same color, it does fit it well if you ignore the bass boat effect!
  25. Oh man, the stripes on that pickup are so familiar...looks like something I would have done a few decades ago!
