  1. Hey guys! thanks for stoppin by and for the kind words! I jus wanted to say i love the work in progress section of the forum, alot of informative how to's come from here and i try and soak up as much as possible. I racked my brain trying figure out how to simulate vinyl tops and leather till no end and then one morning it popped in my head like the cartoons! Anyway! Ive tried applying various methods and it seems to me using U-Hauls cardboard tape gives it a really cool texture plus the right amount off sheen to the tops. I love tan rag tops so leaving the tape its natural color suits me fine but if color matching is needed I havent ran into any major problems using enamel and then clearing. The Eldorado and the 49' merc will be in the show-case area of Hott Bloxx ( Whenever that comes to life lol)I pressed some metal between a vice to make the sun visor on the merc, which has to be epoxied and the trunk lid placed and this Friday nite street stroller will be done. I get so excited talkin about the projects that I jus wanted to update the thread heres the pics of the 49' merc I also have the DB 4 that i started along with the datsun that i posted earlier. This is complete minus the trunk lid in need of polishing out, chrome trim applied and finally hinged to the body As always my good friends thanks for stoppin by and checkin us out here at Hott Bloxx M n C Heheheheheehh!! keep on wit the keepin on!! peace Tito

  8. Its been a busy weekend! A fun one as well i forgot the build-up for the Japanese import build-off entry. I have the 70 240z built up as a dail driver but a fun one to boot. This is a box stock for the exception of the 49' merc spot lights used as KC's off roads and the nerfy up front from a 1/28 scale hummer cut down and trimmed for the front clip of the Z! Hope you enjoy and again thanks for stoppin!
  9. Hola everyone! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and wishing an awesome new year to come. I was able to get to the bench as of late and well jus updating the thread. Ive had the 34' duesie for sometime now and finally got the courage and skills needed to epoxy all the chrome accents. Final assembly is nearing completeion for the exceptions of the step rails and the last spot light near the driver spare tire! This is a beautiful kit and a treat to build up enjoy and thanks for stoppin Next up is the 57' Eldorado what a bear to get together! Seams were the reasons for placing some kinda chrome trim to rid the body of the marks. Despite the body assembly and obvious proportions, details the kit is ok but makes for a really cool build-up. The wheel package im still torn about not sure if I should put the stock wheel and whitewalls in the weeds or go West Coast Customs style and slam some 24' rims I should be able to finish these projects up within a week or so depending on "How lucky im feelin' lol have fun everyone and drive safe this holiday! Peace Tito

  20. Awesome! Thank you for the response! Its such a beautiful kit! The tips will decide whether to go elsewhere or with a little luck from maybe not! Ill even try mounting the tires reverse and add my own whitewall! I have a set of spokes from the amt 70 impala so ill try that too! Ill post up pics once the camera is charged! peace Tito
  21. Hello all! I just started my quick build up and noticed the supplied wheel and tire combo are a bit to thick in tire and white wall and for the wheels the spokes are too thick. If anyone has run in to this problem building this awesome kit an found other kits or aftermarket as a how we say" alternative route' It'd be much appreciated folks!!! thanks for stoppin by and keep on wit the keepin on! peace ajulia
  22. Hello there friend! Really cool build up so far! Keep on wit the keepin on!!
  23. Hello fella! Mr.G' has the right ticket that polishing kit is awesome! A bit pricy at first but the projects that are created after is well worth it. I like to think when it does come to the use of airbrushes especially on scale model painting i like to gradually build up my body paint. Its the lesser challenge when it comes to removing the paint you applied to get rid of orange peel and the such!! also give yourself the chance to go ahead and make mistakes' it is practice that gets us on the right track!! I say keep on wit the keepin on! peace Tito
  24. Hello there friend! Awesome project man! The look is eyecatching and way different Keep on wit the keepin on!!!
