  1. Those wheels look pretty deep!! Which set of meats are you going with? (Inquiring minds want to know...)
  2. Hey!!! Where did those 5 spoke wheels come from?? I thought that you were going with stock hubcaps??? BTW: I prefer the 5 spoke... Later,
  3. We'll see...I've got a couple of weeks to think about it and model it on the computer before I have to decide...' Thanks for your comments!!
  4. Thanks, Clay! The look of the bed will depend on if I stay with the traditional trailer hitch setup that came with the model or if I switch to a 5th wheel design. If I go the 5th wheel route, I'll make a bed cover that opens from the sides with a large rib down the middle for the panels to hinge on. It'll have the spine shape of the Raptor with a hole in it for the 5th wheel arm of the trailer to hook into. If I stay with the traditional hitch I will probably build some sort of wing or peak design into the lid, similar to what's on the roof, but maybe running the full width of the bed. Stay tuned...you'll know right after I do... Thanks, Bernard. Yes, I like the way that the front wheel opening in relation to the fender now matches the rear fender. With the center of both wheel openings now located forward of the centerline of the fender, it gives it the appearance that its moving forward; even when it's standing still. Combine that with the pie-cut hood and that silly peak on the roof and this one looks like it's in motion! Later,
  5. Maybe...but probably not...I'll know better once the truck is painted green... More than likely, the bed cover will be tan, like the interior, but not the roof. Later,
  6. Actually, I think this one is more for you: http://www.barris.com/gallery_cars/TV_Movi...y_kargolye.html Later,
  7. Jose, The hauler and the trailer will be painted to match the show car. It's Testors Fathom Green Metallic with a Testors Phoenican Yellow stripe and black and orange pinstripes. For the interior, it's Testors Fabric Tan. Later,
  8. George Barris. http://www.barris.com/gallery_cars/TV_Movi...sterskoach.html Later,
  9. Kevin, I'm sorry to hear that you're having family problems. Like with any significant disruption in your life, you'll feel the impact of it on many levels and for some time. It's not surprising that you're not in the mood to build models if there's something upsetting you. Take your time, get your collective stuff back together and don't push the modeling thing. I'm sure that you'll get back to modeling once things settle down for you at home. Until then, take it easy, take care of yourself and your family. All of your models will be there waiting for you when you're ready to return to them. Later,
  10. Here are a few pics with all of the bodywork done, except for the bed. This is the first real coat of primer I've applied to the body, so there's a bit of sanding and a little bit of putty work left to do before this one sees paint. The front wheels are mounted on the new front susupension from the '99 Ford SVT Lightning truck. The rear suspension will also come from the Lightning kit, but for these pics the frame is just sitting on the axle. Here you can clearly see how much better the front end looks with the front wheel openings moved forward 0.20". While the primer dries I'll get started on the few mods I have in mind for to the bed to keep the rear of the truck aligned with the "Raptor" theme of the matching show car and trailer. Thanks for looking,
  11. OK...I'll see what I can put together when I get home tonight. By the way, those are GREAT new pics of the kids!! No...on Saturday I was busy having breakfast and looking at old photos with my grandfather and a friend. On Sunday I went to the Winchester Mystery House with my wife and a friend that I work with that's visiting from China. Besides, I had nothing new to show... Later,
  12. Sure...I worked on the hauler for the Raptor over the weekend... Do you want to see update pictures of it (the Raptor hauler)? All of the bodywork is done on the truck, except for the bed, and it's been primed. Later,
  13. Yeah...if my wife had her way, all of my building would be done outside! She hates the fumes from the paint and the glue. This is turning out to be a really fun build that I'll probably finish over the Thanksgiving holiday...as long as I get the time I need to work on it... Now that's worth the price of admission right there! Just kidding... Later,
  14. The detail work on the engine and the interior looks GREAT!! I hope that you can save the paint on the body without having to strip it and start over! Thanks for sharing,
  15. Very cool!! I like the dogs running along beside the car!! Nice touch!! Thanks for sharing,
  16. Well, you could mail your stuff to a friend in CA right before you come down for the NNL West and ask him to glue a few pieces together AND clear the room of fumes BEFORE you get there! I hope you find a solution that works!
  17. Very nice detail work; as usual, Michael!! Thanks for sharing,
  18. It looks like you're off to a good start!! Yes, I too am a Ferarri fan, but still feel the need to build other stuff!! Thanks for sharing,
  19. Yep, I can see you building a model of that!!
  20. Well, I'm also not very fond of the wild interior colors, BUT the ground effects and body colors are what caught my eye!! I especially like the way the bodywork surrounds the all but the very bottom of the wheel and the way that the side skirt connects the front and rear wheel openings. That's some VERY cool stuff there!! Thanks for sharing, Dave!! Later,
  21. Those are some serious tires on that little T-Bird, Dave!! How about a few pics of the seriously modified green VW? Later,
  22. Thanks, guys!! Yes, I had a lot of fun building the engine!! The interior will be a lot of fun, too!! Dave, I was born in the mid-fifties, I'm a product of the 60's...I didn't get married until the 80's...need I say more?? Later,
  23. WOW!! The leather interior looks awesome!!
  24. Mike, I couldn't have said it better!! No matter what you think of past, current or future wars, we have to give thanks to those who serve and protect this GREAT country!! Lastly, thanks to you directly, Clay, for supporting our country and this hobby. I proudly consider you to be one of my friends. Regards,
  25. That makes sense!! Thanks guys!! I'll order mine today!!
