Well I was messing with one of my airbrushes and did this. This is a second attempt at true Fire flames. It does have some bad spots anthe blavk streak is a scratch. Did thid all in a 2 x 2 inch square. May try it on a model tomorrow or will prctice a bit more.

Duplicolor Clear is to Hot for it i have tried it. will make it run or bubble up. You might get away with it if you use light coats and no heavy coat. i did light coats after 3 i hit with a heavy coat and it didn't work. Testors one coat clear Is the best i have seen besides duplicolor.Have never tried Tamiyas but I haven't had any luck with their paint anyway. Testors new one coat and modelmasters new lacqurs are the first hobby paints I have used in the last 10 years I like. Been using automotive Duplicolor, HOK and Plastikote for all my paints.

Why put done a guy for his opinion. He is on a list that I am on and did point out a lot of body flaws that really look obvious once they were pointed out. He also said that the AMT model is flawed but the body is more accurate. To me I don't care as I didn't buy one of the Novas and don't want one.

I use purple power or super clean that i get at Walmart Takes the clear basecoat of and usualy all done i less than 30 minutes. Westly's Bleche white is also good. Have used Simple green as well. Have used bleach and oven cleaners and brake fluid just don't like the way they work and the toxic smells from them is terrible.

I have used 3M Glazing putty for years until I ran out. Have tried evercoat and bondo and just don't like it and the bondo spot putty always shrinks to much for me. The latest one I used was a Tamiya putty works great and haven't seen any shrinkage. The professional two part bondo I have tried also and where I used it on a model the paint coat came out a differen color. waspainting a candy color with a basecoat of gold. yes i used a auto motive grade primer first. I don'tpaint a model untill i get a good primer on it first.

Duplicolor clear is the best i have found for not yellowing. Just test it over decals or light coats firts it will eat up some decals

So you just put yor work clothes on then always thought you wore your mask all year long!! LOL

Also forgot to say everything that was not tied down usually got put out in the streets and all the window downtown would get soaped up or egged.

Live in a small town of about 700 when i was a kid would do the same as you Harry. We would hit every house in Town. Went to the dentist house first Though as he gave out toothbrushes.

I have one and it is used just as a phone see no needfor the extras. It isn't just the highschoolers around here heck i have seen Kindergarten kids with them and texting. My kids both have them but I made them both go out and buy their own and pay the bills.

Finally got some udates on mine Have the interior done and some of the engine

I ordered 2 from him on the modelcarlist. i wouldn't hesitate from ordering from him he is a stand up guy. Know him from the modelcarlist group for almost 10 years now

Sound like to me that the can was to far away from the model and the paint was drying before it hit the model. I have always shot within 6 inches with testors or Tamiya paints and don't have any problems. Duplicolor is shot the same way.

I am still slowly working on mine just had to strp the paint on the interiorI wanted white and bought some new testors in the bottle and after a couple weeks it turned yellow . I also started a new project and got busy with that .now I am back working on the Custom.

You guys are not really reading this right. What i have read is Cerberus Capital Management and GM are trying to merge with Chrysler . Cerberus Capital Management owns most of the GMAC financail side and some of the Gm stock. They did try to merge with Ford first as GM and Ford are working together already on some of the Transmisions they have. I am a true blodded Gm person and could really care less unless they start building that ugly ###### that Chrysler makes. I haven't seen anything from Chrysler i would buy except maybe the Magnum. Gm hasn't wowed me either in the last 10 years. Ford has been the only one and that was only the New Mustang. All the japanese cars are also just plain ugly.
