  2. also will take the deadline off for this
  3. Also on this contest we have a $50 aard for the best 1/8 scale models within a 75 mile radius. This was done by a anonymous doner. So the club decided to add oe for the people beyond the 75 mile radius.
  4. I bought just the airbrush a bout a year ago just to see how fine a line it would paint. It didn't go down to a fine enough line for me but it did paint a model body with good results. It would be a good one for a starter airbrush to learn with. I have 3 Paasche VL and 2 Paasche V and a Badger 200 single action. Also have an Iawata Eclipse. I have the 3 Paasche VL's set up each with a different needle and head. I usually use the ones with the NO.1 and No. 3 heads the most as the No. 5 just some to spray to much paint for a model body for me. The Paasche V's are used for finer details and since it uses a cup on the side I use them for interior painting so i don't have to mix as much paint up. The Badger I very rarely use anymore as I like the control of the double action airbrushes. The Iawata Is a very versatile airbrush one needle does all i want and very rarely do I open it up all the way for painting a car body.
  5. Might try and be there but been thinking of boycotting it
  6. been buying and using syringes from the pharmacy for years to use for my ambroid proweld. just don't let it set in there for a couple days as it does eat up the rubber. HAVEN'T USED MY tOUCHAND FLOW APLICATOR SINCE I STARTED USING THE syringe. it will drip out slowly oryou can just dispense it like any syringe works.
  7. Could also use some Kosher salt or maybe some sea salt for ice.

  10. Well I don't really know for sure had my 71 Cutlass speedo all the way back to the R . The speedo went to 120 still had throttle and it was still climbing but was running out of highway so I had to let off. I figured I was doing between 130 and 140 at that time. Did 125 in my mom's 2000 Olds intrigue that is when the computer wouldn't let it go any faster. The speedo read 160 on it. Alos had my 76 cutlass at 120 a couple times.
  11. had mine for over 5 years now. You can go to the website and it tells you how to transfer your number. Or just call their 800 number and do it over the phone.
  12. I like using Ambroid pro weld for this. As someone has said you can put metal rods in the plastic but instead of using Super Glue i use the Pro weld takes a little bit longer to dry but the stuf melts the plastic together and you don't have a brittle joint. Some one also said to use Tenax I think the Pro weld is 10 time the glue tenax is. every Bottle of Tenax i ever bought was thrown away as It didn't perform lie the proweld. If I had to make a choice of glues and all the choices i had were either Testor tube glue and Tenax i would use the Testors.
  13. Realy depends on the resin as i have heard that CSC will ruin some resin's. I myself would use Westley'y Bleche white as that is what a lot of resin supliers say to use to clean thier resin. i use it alot to take plastic kote paint of models and thinkit should work on the Krylon. You can buy it at a auto parts store and Wally world in a half gallon jug. It also works good at clean white walls and raised white lettered tires on your 1;1 car.
  14. The model Selection in HL depends on the department manager. if he or she is into models or hobbies like that they have a better selection. I have been told if you ask the manager they will also order it for you. Their prices around here are compareble to any hobby shop and usually cheaper on the kits. I just don't buy many kits any more since Hobbico bought Revell. most of the AMT stuff I didn't buy unless it was a subject I really wanted, Since Hobbico took over Revell they have jacked the price of the kits up to the $25 range and make it tough for anybody to get models .
  15. I did Clear coat over some years ago. but I tested first like some one else has sugested. It was also just Testors clear enamel
  16. The one in the Revell 68 Firebird kit is real close to that.
