  5. I'm with George here I use Ambroid pro weld and a Touch and flow aplicator on all my models . If i want something a little slower i use Testors liquid in the black squeeze bottle. I hardly ever use Super glue on anything as i don't like the properties of it. Seeems the stuff i have used have all fallen apart on me now si have to redo those parts and going with some Ambroid now. I haven.t used the old orange tube glue since I was a kid and have only use Ambroid and the testors liquid since I got back into the hobby almost 20 years ago.
  6. I don't see anyplace to vote either but this looks like a model to me!
  7. Here is mine haven't in the room to work on any thing for a month. It is a big mess now compared to the mess it is in the pic.
  8. I do the same thing but I do paint with a brush a lot. I just can't put a model together if the seams aren't cleaned up.
  9. That is the way I do all of mine. Unles I have a lot of Modifications to do on the Chassis I just do a mock up then. I can only get the juides flowing. when the body gets painted then it gets The flow of the way i want the rest of the build going. Have had only a couple of mishaps doing it this wat.
  10. I just use Super clean takes it all off in about 30 minutes or less
  11. Would have to include the 55 to 57 chevies from Revell in this as well
  12. I never use it asi just usually go where i want when a get home. Usually leave my computer on this site 24 hours a day so when ever i set down at it I can click on it and read what i want to read. As for any of thge other forums I belong to I might go to them once a week at the most.
  13. yep some nice work on this one. Could be that they both thought that it was a gm product that the distributor went inb the back. I think Buick was the only ones of Gm had the distributor in the front
  14. Don loomis also does a Ford 6 Cylinder http://my.inbox.com/photos/escort500xl/index.aspx
  15. I have always found that Fantastic plastics is always cheaper than Model Round up. Looks like he has the frightliner for $27.95. He is always fast with shipping them out as well. here is a link http://www.fantastic-plastics.com/catalog.html

  17. That works for me!!
  18. I myself don't care if there is off topic stuff on here. I see it as model club meeting. most meetings our club ever had had afew off topic stuf in it. I usually look at all the posts and some I read if they interest me. On Scale Auto I have been there a few times and just can't enjoy it over there. Seems to me that the people over there think they are better than everybody else. I can count on my fingers how many times I have been on that forum this year. On the other hand I am logged on to this one almost 24 hours a day. I am also on a few other forums and on 25 email lists and this subject comes up alot. One email list enjoys all the off topic stuff because it feels more like a club meeting. That one list does generate a lot of emails. Just this weekend alone that list generated over 200 emails alone. What ever Gregg and Harry decide is alright with me but it seems the forum is more laid back when people have other things to discuss. Msot the list and forum that I am on that restrict off topic stuff are boring and people won't post anything as they are afraid they will get in trouble.
  19. Hearing that Bud has gotten worse and may not make it till the weekend. Prayers for him and his family!
  20. We used to do that at our contest but we started seeing Ballot stuffing. Now only the contestants can vote on the contest and it comes out just right . The modelers themselves know which one is best on the table.
  21. Sounds like the vent in the bottle is plugged or the holes in the head are plugged. I usually take the head apart and soak it in Lacquer thinner and use fine wire to clean out the holes after the soak. Also sometimes the head around the tip gets plugged up and will cause this . After you take it apart clean the inside of the head woth a qtip soaked in lacquer thinner can get that out.
  22. I have a badger 200 single action and 3 Paasche VL double action ,2 Paasche V and a Iawata Eclipse all but the Paasche v are siphon feed and love them all The Paasche V has a cup and feeds from the side. even Though the Paashe and the Eclipse are siphon feed you still have to clean the airbrush when changing colors . I have extra bottles and hook ups just for that as I have one with cleaner in it to change colors. I want to try a gravity feed but haven't bought one yet. you can get a good look at all types of Airbrushes here www.dixieart.com .
  23. For models I like going here http://www.fantastic-plastics.com/
  24. That is all I need to know I thought I had read some where that it had the fuel injection setup from the 5.0 Mustang. So then they put same setup that was in the woody type car they came out with back when they first released the 32 3 window
