  1. If I get one i might try and do a custom simalar to this one http://carnut.com/cgi-bin/02/image.pl?/show/02/skat/kat050.jpg
  2. I will probably end up buying about a dozen of these and have several diffeserent ways to build them . With the chop done already that saves me some work already. I do hope that they do come out with a stock version as well and will probably buy a dozen of those as well. I know some will be 50's and 60's style customs and will also build some ina modern style street rod.
  3. well i just looked and it is a 2 gallon one. Looks about like this one Harbor Freight sells. http://www.harborfreight.com/1-3-hp-3-gallon-100-psi-oilless-air-compressor-97080.html I never have to worry about fluctuating pressure with it and it usually shuts off before i am done spraying
  4. I bought the 1 gallon Campbell Hasufeld compressor from Walmart for likr $%0 about 10 years ago. It is higher than that now but it has worked flawlessly the last 10 years. it has a built in regulator. All you would need is a moisture trap for it.
  5. Everybody is doing a great job so far. Maybe I will get to show some more progress here soon.
  6. I was at work and the only way we could get anything about it was one guy had a radio and at every break he told us what was going on. The place i work at seemed like they didn't care and all we needed to do was work and get our numbers out. I listened to the radio on the way home and watched TV about it all the rest of the night.
  7. Yes I have as i was the one that broke the model. I was taking pictures of the models on the table. Had a mini tripod on my camera and just set it down. The camera fell over and landed on the front suspension of a topfuel dragster. The camera just shattered the front end like a peice of glass. I knew the model and felt terrible the rest of the day.
  8. I have used the Testors stuff for years on decals i have made wth no problems. Just use light coats on the first couple passes and then 1 good moderate coat. I ussually let them set overnight before i use them.
  9. Modelhaus Carries some Olds Fiesta hubcaps and some Dodge lancers caps. I am using the Fiesta caps on my 50's comminity build on this forum. Also remember back in the 50's alot of people put spolights on their cars. Here is a link to some picture of Modelhaus stuff. http://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/1/2/1/after-market-source/modelhaus/
  10. Got the hubcaps set the way i need them . The rear is a little low but this is just a mockup
  11. So Basicly this stuff is the same as SnJ Powders You can get a chrome like finish with it as well painted over a gloss black. I have Aluminum and have used it on some parts to get a chrome finish and I liked it just as well as Alclad. It just is a little messy. You can take a buffing wheel on your dremel and get a shinier finish as well.
  12. Did some more painting and pulled the tape off today Have to do a few touch ups and clear coat it. Also got the 3 bar hubcabs from modelHaus in the mail last week So now I can work on the ride height and start working on the interior.
  13. I would buy one or two of these in 1/25 scale but not 1/8
  14. Well got the rest taped off and painted also today have to take some tape off and paint some more in the trim then I can clear coat it
  15. I have one side taped off so far this is the third attempt at it
  16. Keith Bryant did in 2004 and also Hank willims Jr. has done . But I think the first version was keith Byrant
  17. I have both free accounts from Fotki and Photobucket but for me I prefer using the bucket and the last i looked the bucket is unlimited now.
  18. Here is what I have so far. Body trim is sanded off and white pearl painted on it
  19. That is one of the nicest builds of this kit i have seen!!
  20. i get House of Kolor Paints fro Black Gold http://www.blackgoldweb.com/
  21. For my supplies I have to drive 120+ miles to ther hobby shop. So when i go I make sure i get extra stuff just incase i need it. Buy most of my models at Hobby Lobby . But really haven't bought any the last couple years. Always buy a few every year at the swapmeet and contest i do every year. If i really need anything and know i can't get to the hobby shop i will buy online.
  22. I always use the right button on my mouse and when the box opens up from that i use the paste in that box
  23. Okay looks like i may try and do either one of Larry Watson's Grapevine or one of a 57 chevy he painted
