  1. P.L.S is a Camping & Caravan trade supplier, that's actually a pad of post it notes the windows are one,
  2. The black rubber frames were done airbrushing some VHT matt black enamel, the chrome front's were done using chrome bmf
  3. Yes, it was finished back in April, See the finished model here :- http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/122663-revell-citroen-2cv-sausss-ente/
  4. I really should be editing all the photo's I've took in Brazil over the last three weeks, but just needed to get away from the computer screen for a while, so picked this one back out of it's box, I'd pretty much (99%) finished this one before I went away, so with so little to get it finished, I decided I would get it done today, now I need to get back to working on the photo's
  5. No, it's an Imperial, slightly slimmer than the Legacy model.
  6. I'm still using my Sheaffer fountain pen I've had for the last 30 odd years,
  7. As I don't sleep that well when I've got a long haul flight coming up, I was awake at silly 'O' clock this morning, so with nothing else to do, I thought I would crack on with this one, Sadly there's only a few items to fix on now, but that will have to wait until I get back from Brazil in 3 weeks, as I haven't slept too well for the last week, I really need to go and get some rest, can't wait to get this one finished, it's been a great kit to build with no fit problems at all. Got the interior fitted, and then the body was fixed onto the chassis, again, everything just lined up perfectly.
  8. Last update until I get back in 3 weeks, although I'll have a lot of photo's to edit before I can even think of picking up a model. The front windshield rubber seal was airbrushed using VHT matt black, it's the best black paint I've found to replicate black rubber, it was fitted into the body using clear acrylic craft glue, and held in place with making tape while the glue set up, the rear window seals were picked out by brush using acrylic matt black, and the window was fitted using the same glue as the front, and again held in place with masking tape while the glue set up, the engine was wired up using a pre wired distributor and wired up in the correct sequence.
  9. Absolutely superb build .....
  10. Very nice build, love the colour combo'
  11. Not a great deal done on this one, seems I've been busy with other stuff, mainly work, but I got the front grille fitted and a black wash added to bring out the detail, fitted the pre wired distributor and had a little time this afternoon to start getting it wired, in the correct firing order, of course ....
  12. Absolutely superb !
  13. Oh this one will be the first model I pick up when get back, I've got 6 weeks after I get back from Brazil before I'm off to Japan for Just over two weeks
  14. Got the bmf finished, and now the pre wired distributor arrived, I can crack on with getting that fitted and wired, I've only got 12 days until I'm off to Brazil for 3 weeks, so it might have to wait until I get back until I finish this one off, I'm using the decal from the kit for the rear number plate, but I'm finishing it off with a photoetch licence plate frame
  15. Modelling is my hobby, although I do make a little money from it, writing articles for magazines and taking on the odd commission, but photography is my job, I was getting by, by having the computer on the dining room table and trying to work in there, but the piles of paperwork was getting out of hand, so I had to turn the room into two sections, hobby room and office, where I have places to store all my invoices and other paperwork, and to sit comfortably to edit photos, and write articles, now I'm concerned about the amount of over spray I found while moving things around, I'm going to upgrading the airbrush spray booth for one from Graphic Air, a lot dearer than the one I'm using, but I can't afford any of my computer gear to get ruined. https://www.graphicair.co.uk/product/benchvent-bv300s-d-airbrush-spray-booth/
  16. I thought it might take a little longer to get it sorted, but luckily I had some help, still needs a second display cabinet put up on the wall above the photo booth, and two shelves putting up to put all the models on that have been boxed up, but now I've got the computer up and working, I can now work in peace.
  17. Welcome aboard Carlo
  18. Another superb build .....
  19. With a little bit of time on my hands this morning, I got started on the bmf on the waistline trim, so far so good All of my previous builds, which replicate a brand new car sitting in a showroom waiting for it's first owner, either don't have number plates fitted or have showroom plates fitted, of course this one is totally different, so I'm going with the California plate and a photoetch surround I've had for a few year, but had nothing to use it on. Also got the front windshield masked up ready to airbrush the rubber seal in matt black And now I'm going to have to have a break for a while while the hobby room gets a make over, working downstairs on what was the dining table has been too much trouble lately, with piles of paperwork and pretty well nowhere to file away invoices and other papers, the hobby room is going to get split in half, so half of it will be an office and where I can work on my photo's in peace, and have room to put invoices in proper box files up on shelves out of the way, and somewhere for all my computer gear, and as I'm off to Brazil on the 31st for 3 weeks, I'm not going to have that much time to get any modelling done, feels very strange to start having to box up all my model collections, but it needs to be done.
  20. please build it, it really is a superb kit to put together, with no problems at all.
  21. Had a little chance earlier to get into the hobby room, not enough time to get anything done though, but I thought I'd try all the parts together, this is only a dry fit, as the body still needs the waistline trim to be done in bmf and the windows fitted, but everything just dropped into place. Hopefully I'll get some time soon to get it finished ....
  22. Very nice build, I've only built one Gunze Sangyo kit, and yes, those vinyl parts are a little tricky, the window trim being the worse
  23. GeeBee

    49 MERC WAGON

    Simply superb .....
  24. I'm still waiting for the pre wired distributor to arrive, so can't really go too much further, but I've still got the waistline trim on the body to bmf, and after airbrushing the brake discs in Testors steel and the calipers picked out in Tamiya titanium gold, I got them fitted today, i've only got 20 days left until I have to fly out to the other side of the world for three weeks, and next week the hobby room is getting gutted so I can get the new computer desk in there, as I now need an office, so the hobby room will be split in two halves, this one might not be finished until later in the year.
  25. I press all the way for air and pull back for paint, air is regulated by the control on the compressor, you cash get away with a lower pressure using thinner paints, but I mix my paints to the same constancy and keep the pressure set at between 20-25 psi.
