ya, thats a cut down badnews, and the flairs were cardboard and testors filler built up. built in mid 70's. the orange willys was king edward cigar box sides and top, with balsa wood to make the curved top sides. real funny thing is the seats were buckets with the vent eyelits from old converse shoes slide over a small flat head screw glued under bucket cup for swival buckets. -
some builds through the years, some conversions from my early teens in the early 70's through recent. hope you see some ideas for your collecting creativity. thanx for lookin

thanx guys, i do not have any pics as i built this one. i got it on 3/18/12 and it was built 3/24/12. was a 4.00 bag kit from a model show. from what i remember i had 3 sedan kits at the time and was looking for some ideas to use the bodies on. idea pop and i was cutting. from what i remember this pairing was real close, so it went really well, and no time to think about what i was doing, just what i did. usually on projects i would take a pic with phone and print 4x6 and tape to end of box to know what was happening in some of the boxes.

i dont know about everybody else, but this kit has always been a ugly duckling to me. the headlights are just to low, the cabs a bit small also, but those headlights. heres a trick i tried to improve. i cut on each side of each, then under, had to cut a relief cut just behind headlight face to bend it down slightly, then a small piece of plastic under. i use super glue as filler. i like it better. dont know how ill build it yet. the chassie in this kit is fun to use. thanx for lookin terraplane truck, another idea i had started while back, got the nose off ebay
