  1. Hi,

I am back looking for rear suspension options for my '32 pickup, I have looked on your Maple Leaf Shapeways site but can't find the quick change rear end sets?

I have yet to confirm which chassis I will use either, but is either option available?

  2. Pics would be great, I have looked at his stuff, but would like to see it on a finished model. Being down the bottom of the world, the shipping is typically twice the price of the part. I am still looking at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland as they seem to have the Friction shocks etc that I would like to have, but realistically I can probably buy a complete kit with the setup I am looking for at about the same price.
  3. Now that I have my roadster kit I can see the issues with the interior. I will use the bench seat set up with the Pickup body and the Rat Roadster interior to build up the roadster. I just need to look at options for a more traditional suspension/drivetrain option.
  4. Thank you for that, one day the budget will stretch to a cutter, until then I will stick with Lazy Custom Modeler masks.
  5. A great tutorial, very helpful. At the moment my hobby budget doesn't stretch to one of those cutters unfortunately so for now I will stay with lazy Customs masks.
  6. According to the images in this post (on page 5) there is a lot of extra parts from the original kit and it seems to include the back panel? I will know on Sunday, it sounds like Santa will bring me the kit.
  7. There are two kits of the '29 Roadster, one has the Nailhead with two options for the intake, the other has the SBC. The images below have the Nailhead.
  8. Thank you kindly, I thought that would be the case.
  9. I too will be following this with great interest, I have the Drag City body and will soon have a couple of choices for donor kits. I will either use the '32 5 window kit or the '32 roadster kit (both from Revell) I will see which fits best and go from there.
  10. Firstly may I say that is a stunningly beautiful paint job, and then can I ask a question not related to the windscreen but about the suspension please? I am looking at buying this kit but am curious to know what is the rear suspension set up? Is it the typical Revell 4 link as seen in the '29 roadster, the '30 Model A Coupe and the '32 5 window Coupe? I am looking for a chassis with the original friction shock, transverse spring set up for a couple of builds. TIA and if this is not allowed please delete, ignore or at least tell me. Kia Kaha Kiwi
  11. That came out well, I am considering taking your route but also looking at whether I can push myself with this one.
  12. I am looking at doing the same, where did you find the diff and front suspension? I don't really have a spares box yet but do have a couple of kits I can rob.
  13. What do you do with the truly horrible chassis? I am thinking about cutting the floor pan and molded in exhaust out and starting again.
  14. First question to resolve, what front wheels to use? 1) Spokes 2) Pressed Steel 3) Mags Thoughts?
