  2. yeah this is terrific. I love it and the base is awesome looking!
  3. those are actual banana stickers. I had the idea awhile back and just was waiting for the right opportunity to use them. I didnt know for sure if I was going to leave them or peel them to reveal the old paint underneath. As I was working with them on and aging them I decided to leave them and led me down this path. Thanks for all the compliments.
  4. No this isnt a die cast. I’ll post the engine and the interior pics a little later. Thanks for all the comments.
  5. Man that is just awesome looking. Great job! All of the names are very fitting.
  6. Calling this one finished. Thanks to gardnerpag44 for all the parts I got from him to finish this truck out. My first time tubing, scratch built a few other things also first time using sophisticated finishes. Thank you Mchook for the advise as well. I hope everyone digs the results.

  8. I think this a great job! I like all the details you did and the color scheme looks cool. I gotta try to make some decals soon. Realistic looking at every angle. Great job!

  10. Yes incredible detail. I got miles to be anywhere near this skill level. Great job!

  12. I love it.. That is so awesome.
  13. 1950 Chevy 3100 Pickup. This was the street machine kit version. I named it after a Tom Petty Album. it felt appropriate since I started this build around the time of his death. First real wood kit I installed. Some BMF work on the trim and door handles and dash. Wheels was from some other kit. No engine Pictures for some reason I should take some recent ones. I kept the inline 6. For some reason my pictures are pre-front bumper installed. This truck needed a visor and probably a rear bumper to be more my tastes but the kit didn't include either as I recall and I was just learning and having fun. I figured would post since I am currently beginning a fresh build of this truck again Id post this one from last fall. "I gotta room at the top of the world tonight...an I aint coming down"
  14. Real nice. Clean and slick. I like it!
  15. That's a nice short bed 63!! is that a 302?
  16. love this! the color is my favorite. I need to add this to my wish list builds.
  17. Yes it gives it some more character. Thank you all for the nice comments. Bill, Maybe the next build will be a better kit if not, I'll know more what to do about it
  18. 1953 Ford AMT kit. "Amarillo by Morning" I wanna build this kit again. I lowered the stance, my first wired the engine, watch gear for gas cap. the black wash on the front grille turned out to be the best detail on this build.
  19. Truth is......It was a happy accident. I originally thought it occurred because I was sprayin' in colder temperatures. But then I saw on youtube a guy says it happens when you spray lacquer over enamel and thats what I had done. Wasn't intentional but I loved it and wished it had happened on both sides.
  20. 56 Ford Build. Old used partially started Revel Kit I picked up at a yard sale for $5. It was missing the hood and tailgate. Mirrors and Motor, and other accessories are from the 53 amt I believe. Wheels I cant remember what kit there from. Tinted the windows with Eye Dr dilation shades and used watch part for the radiator. Used cut up Iphone cord for the battery wires, they may be slightly to large diameter. oh well this one was fun This one is called "Running on Empty" I hope you guys like it.
  21. Thanks Don. I just started back in the hobby 2 years. Just started showing some of my builds. All the comments help feel like I'm on right track.
