  1. Great idea for the fender walls! I would do something like that myself, but my current Comet build doesn't have much engine bay leftover. Amazing the little things you can do with just a pop can.
  2. Looking real sharp. I'm loving the glossy red paint you got going on there.
  3. Thanks!
  4. Welp I broke the glass, at least the rear is together and still useable. I was trying to save the original glass by sanding all the scratches out of it and polishing it like I did the 55 gasser, but my buffing wheel broke it. Rear glass turned out good though
  5. Update, styrene wheelie bar, parachute, and some decals
  6. Lol that's what I was going for! Most of the reason why I wanted to name it "cant see squat" Now for the paint, I used red...
  7. I'm currently in debate on whether or not you could actually make out the "can't see squat". If nobody can read it then I'll try a different style or something, or maybe forget it all together.
  8. Thanks! Really starting to turn out like one!
  9. Hay thanks! I love the ideas! I'm going to use the masking tape idea for sure, but I'm thinking of saving the ball point pen caps for next time, not that I dont think it's a fantastic idea, just that the scoops on there already wont come off easy.
  10. Finished up the styrene rollcage, dash, and other little things
  11. Another fitment update, almost no room between the engine and radiator, which is perfect.
  12. Update, fixes fuel lines, repainted the car, got the roll cage started, and even made some goofy hood hinges. And before you ask, yes I did manage to catch the rollcage on fire briefly... some days I suprise myself! The rollcage may look slightly large but I'll argue that it's not only the size I want it to be, but the size someone would want it to be taking such a tiny twin engine car down the track. I also managed to fit an electric fan from my parts bin 94 vette. I'll be figuring out soon how I'd go about making the big "can't see squat" decals.
  13. Absolutely genius, it would work quite well
  14. That's a good idea! I'll have to do some work on it when I get the chance
  15. You've never seen 3 1/2" fuel lines before? But in all honesty I do agree they are far too big. I seem to do this alot, look at some random wire hanging around and think "eh looks about right" only to be wildly off later on. I actually did the same with the ignition wires. But hopefully if I find any smaller, more realistic wires lying around I'll cut those fuel hoses out and replace them with something better, but as of right now those wires is all I got.
  16. Engine and radiator fitment update
  17. This is a pain, I'm just going to make my own decal and put one on.
  18. Probably a far easier way of doing this but I'm committed
  19. I know the fake Moroso on the cylinder heads, as well as the cylinder heads looks cheap, but I'm planning on adding enough detail (with exhaust and engine bay stuff) to kinda hide the fact that the engines are low on detail. In my defense I had to make the cylender heads the way they are due to the limited size in the engine bay. The cheap looking Moroso was done with a fine tip sharpie, as I am super low on 1/24-25th scale sponsor decals. I think the "Moroso" at least looks adequate for now, but weel have to see how I feel about it in the future.
  20. Some small progress, mostly paint. Got rid of the 3" dia spark plug wires. Engine still needs alot of work, hopefully soon I can get my hands on some proper Moroso decals for the cylinder head covers.
  21. Yeah im considering cutting them out and using something thinner, i just dont have any wires thinner then that right now.
  22. Im going to start calling this "cant see squat" and yes still needs work, paint still drying as of posting this.
