Thanks! I was looking at using your guage cluster, but I also wanted to make a custom looking dashboard, ultimently I decided on the dashboard. Here the progress so far, but it's not exactly done yet. I also found one of the original headlights that came with the kit, sadly though it was heavily damaged, cracked on the bottom so I reused it for the trans bell housing.

I'v seen that before but this is the first time I'm seeing a buy now option, thanks for showing me! Also just a few updates some progress. Still stripping the paint.

So the break fluid paint stripper suggestion worked out well and iv managed to strip the paint off the 4 link and am currently stripping the paint on the 500k as well. Ill hopefully follow up with a picture of the progress tomorrow. Great thing too is the hobby shops reopened recently and supply are alot more obtainable, which means (if I don't get horribly busy) progress should begin again soon... Hopefully... -

Guess what? Sorry Russel, but I think Eric won the shipping race ? I'm still getting busier by the day, but hopefully I can get some progress happening here soon!

Eh believe it or not I'm still waiting for parts to come in, let alone that life got super busy super quick for a bit. I only just got some tape I ordered about 3-4 months ago, rediculasly if you ask me. But I'll keep in touch if anything, thanks for the offer!

Yeah I have another Johan, it's a Comet. The Comet looks a little more simplistic vs this 500k. I only own the two Johan kits as far as I know. I was looking at a half built broken AMC Rebble the Machine in a Johan I believe, but the $120 price tag turned me away. As for the molds I have no idea.

I started on the starter and waterpump fan belt, as well as the genorator. The intirior I have also started with my own custom brown paint. And I started on the transmission. The intirior still needs a bit of a touch up but that will be coming soon. Rear suspension got a little work too.

Just the tires I had, they are off a F1 car. I didn't want to just use the back because I wouldn't have wheels that would properly fit the front, and as well the rear wheels wouldn't match up with any front wheels I may have sitting around. Also I like the good year lettering I did on them. -
Looking real good! Im liking the orange.

Thanks! Im hoping to put the same amount of detail of that in the engine bay to the interior and suspension, so a lot more work to come. -

No sadly no buggy, although I can attempt to make some surf boards for the top just for fun? It would have to go well with the paint scheme I have in mind, but I think I could make it work. All Iv done in the way of paint rn is just this half fast drawing with my idea in case your curious. The idea is a flat black body with a yellow and orange stripe. I just can't keep away from those more then one tone paint jobs! -
Well ladies and gentlemen ... the hobby shops are now open and I have finally been able to stock up on some more paint! Someone suggested brake fluid as paint stripper, ill have to try it out, and if it works well i will be able to get a move on with both the Mercedes and 55 Gasser. Also does anyone have any suggestions for a good easy way to make wood light headlights? Im considering filing this blob of JB weld to resemble the headlights, buying some clay and making a mold.

So just a bit of an update. I'm starting to think that perhaps the border not opening up is the meaning behind me not getting any mail. Regardless just a little update on the chassis, and I finally got to sanding the cracked paint on the body. Like I said before aboth the red and black was water based as well as the clear coat, just kinda strange that it crinkled. Once again solder saved the day I guess when I made some front springs. I yet need to make a transmission so comming soon. Woodlight headlights are comming along, I'm attempting to mold my own but iv only started on the fist positive which is just a lump of Jb weld.

Dropped in a new engine in my truck the other day. I was exited to start putting all the rest of the engine all back together again and finally start driving it by Monday, but my excitement was soon crushed when I discovered that the transmission was loose in the rear end. On closer inspection I found out that something cast aluminum snapped, and it wasn't the transmission mount. And then it started to rain, literally.
