Serendipity, when I opened the tractor box, it seems that I had built the frame and engine a while back. That saved some time. Just had to add the logging trailer attachment points. Assembled and painted the trailer components. Since this is a logging truck and subject to rough service I'm not going for a show quality paint job on either trailer or tractor.

JJ55, Clear gorilla tape only. Also used it to attach the nose of the trailer to the sides. Even used it for the tape on the roll up door, more aggressive adhesive and slightly stronger than adhesive tape. Are you from or in Jersey? What exit? I am originally from Newark and Jackson. Moved to NC in May. Good reference material here: https://www.google.com/search?q=consolidated+freightways&client=firefox-b-1-m&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi4saf_mJzlAhXhT98KHQ-KD4gQ_AUIBygC&biw=360&bih=560#imgrc=9_SaCVqCad5foM%3A

I'll need another Mobieus Ford kit for that build.

As I began separating the suspension parts, I realized that there are enough extra parts to build another trailer dolly. If you build the SD (single axel) version of the Freightliner tractor, you will have the extra four tires required for the dolly. The pictures shows the suspension parts divided using the trays from storebought cookies.

Started the Chrome Trailer. Instead of using cement to hold the sides together used clear Gorrilla Tape on the inside seams. Also wore latex gloves to prevent fingerprints. Building the full size version. Will be using the tape to hold the two tank sections together. Picture poorly shows tape location.

One of my modeling tips is to use Sharpies, both standard and fine tip for detail and touch up. The black fine tip is great for detailing grilles as the tip fits the recesses perfectly Also use a silver marker for chrome trim, although not perfect it's quick and easy. good enough for me. orange for turn signals, red for taillights black for wiper blades and touch up, gold for carburetors. You get the picture Apply the markers after spraying with glosscoat to prevent running.
