Also most model kit companies use 3D resin printers to make the masters for the molds for their plastic kits nowadays and Hollywood now uses them for making the props for shows and movies as they can print a great many of them for relatively cheap price so if one goes missing or get broken it is easy and cheap to replace there is even a company that make full sized houses with the interior walls and floors and even counters printed with a 3D concrete printer

This is not a good example of 3D printed bodies most people who sell 3D printed kits and bodies use uv resin printers and the quality is the same as resin casted models kits and resin casted bodies

Thank you pla is like impact resistant plastic you have to use power sanders or dremal with sanding drums and bunch of other tools plus a lighter to heat up the pla to make it more pliable to clean up

Thank you No I have a friend that has like 3 large filament feed 3D printers he prints all the larger models I want for me I only has a small uv resin 3D printer I can’t print 1/25 or 1/24 scale or larger models on it 1/32 scale is as big as I can print car models on my resin printer

This 1/24 scale model is closer the jada 1/24 scale then to actual plastic model kit 1/24 scale is so that is why the wheels work so well on it

Thank you I have not done many 3D printed car models most of the 3D printed model kits I have built have been sci-fi models and 1/1 scale Star Trek prop replica kits

this is a 1/24 scale 3d printed 1970 opel manta a I painted the body testors extreme lacquer electric pink I hand painted the roof and windows and grille and headlights and taillights I used a silver sharpie to do the trim for the windows and grille as well as door Handles and exhaust tip and the rims

this is a 1/24 scale 3d printed model of a 69 charger 500 I painted the body testors extreme lacquer mythical maroon and hand painted the grille and headlights and taillights and taillight panel as well as the windows and the wheels I had to use a set of door Handles and exhaust tips and rear drive Train and suspension from my parts boxes I used silver sharpie for the mirrors and window trim as well as for the other small details on the body I used a ultra fine tip black sharpie to write 500 on the rear quarter panels

this is a 3d printed 1/24 scale model of a 69 charger ute yes I know they never made one but what if they did maybe it would look something like this I painted the body Tamiya ts-92 metallic orange and hand painted the bed and windows and grille and headlights and taillights I also hand painted the centers of rims and used silver to do the rest of the rim and black sharpie to do spokes I had to use door Handles and exhaust tips and rear leaf suspension from my parts boxes as those thing never got printed

I build a lot of different models not just cars I also build sci-fi ships and build 1/1 scale Star Trek and Star Wars prop replicas for cosplays at comic cons I also build military models and civialian boats and I build dioramas I have even made custom action figures via kitbashing figures and modifying them and repainting them I also like to draw
