this is the 1/1000th scale polar lights kit i also used the polar lights 83 piece decal set for this kit in total the model has 99 decals on it as the model kit had the other 16 decals that would need to be added after applying the 83 from the seperate decal set

i made this from a snap tite lindberg crown vic police car and a bench seat from my parts box plus some putty i made this to look like my late grand parents last car they owned i was 3 when they bought thiers but my grandmother sold it in when i was 7 after my grandfather died as she gave up driving in the late 70's so she had no use for the car it is not exactly replica cause the blue i used on the body is not accurate it was slightly lighter but close same with the interior color it was slightly darker

this is the recent issue of this kit i painted the body testors extreme lacquer root beer and the interior i did in two tone white and root beer

yeah those windows were able to go down like the ones from the 70's could

this stared off as a curbsided 69 galaxie parts car the wheels are 3d printed i resculpted a 71 t-bird dash for it i moded the tail light panel and grille with putty and moded a front bumper i painted the body two tone with most of it being rust-oleum 2x gloss apple red and trunk and rear window surrounds i hand painted with apple barrel black matte acrylic paint

overall it is not that different only the grille headlights the guages and center consule and radio exhaust tips and no visible gas cap were different from the production cars the rest of the body and interior remained the same
