  7. yea.... i've used krylon primer for a while but now i stick to duplicolor primer for the same reasons... duplicolor also has their Metalcast (candy) and Metalspecks (flake) lines that i've used with no problems... the only times i've ever had trouble with duplicolor was fogging on humid or colder days....
  8. just bare plastic still gonna go with a black body with a white/red/black inteior and a red color insert in the side trim... i'm using the bel air kit for its bench seat setup but i need to fit the impala rear seat speaker in still thanks for those reference pics.... they will help a lot.... i found one on the box (of all places.... who'd think... ) i had to trim the oil pan a bit to fit it in and scratched it a bit.... little foil should fix that...
  9. i'm using the motor from the 95 Corvette ZR-1 kit.... does anyone know how this thing is supposed to be wired up? there is no distributor, just an "ignition module" any help appreciated....

  13. which kits did you use for this truck? did you use an escalade or ext? did you use 2 silverado cabs for the crew cab or modified a cadillac body? more pics please

  16. well i started building this wagon sometime last year.... wanted to do it with more of a stock body so i put it aside until i could get my hands on one of the 66 el camino kits.... i missed a bunch of auctions on ebay then i decided to just wait when i was it was getting re-issued... well bought one yesterday finally and robbed its hood.... here's some pics of the interior... i did it in a modern style with a custom rear area with huge subwoofers, amps and hydraulics... i also added a pair of dvd screens to the rear of the front bench... still need to add piping to separate the colors on the interior... thats all i got on it for now.....

  20. maybe u can get some suscribers from them too
  21. yea... the 39 is a nice kit to build regardless of how bad the kit really is....
  22. thats the kind of attitude thats not helping our hobby..... would you buy the kit if it were sitting on a different set of wheels? you wouldn't ever hear me say "oh i don't wanna buy that chevelle wagon because its a hot rod...." the kit is just a start.... up to you where you wanna take it.... i like the motor swap you got going into this build.... i got a couple of these kits and always thought it could use a inline 6.... more "old skoo" now i need to go get me an R&R sedan body and borrow this idea.....
  23. wow...... nice touch with the buick venti-ports!!! homemade?
  24. convertable?
  25. thats what i've been waiting for this release for!!! i put a 66 wagon build on hold when i saw this kit was coming back out....
