  1. Hi Ismael! Thank you. But I would cringe to roll it on the salt lake: rust never sleeps... LOL CT
  2. Friends in high places might help you to move ahead...
  3. Expect good behavior from the typical modeler.
  4. Beds are burning... sang the Australian band back in the 80's.
  5. Hi Tim! Thanks for the visit and the comments. I'm flattered. I consult you latest book on collecting Drag racing model kits on a weekly basis, and I know you paid great attention to this kit, for good reasons. Mine was from the only reissue, i.e. WITHOUT the promotional record that came in the original issue. I found two of the original issue: one glue bomb (that I will rebuild next year to show along this one), and a very incomplete unbuilt kit, that lacked the record. My reissue included a partial sheet of the genuine decals, plus an aftermarket copy, which leaves to be desired, alas. I keep my eyes open! CT
  6. Hi David! Thank you for the comments. Maybe the Jetsons would have been in the market for such a Riviera? LOL. CT
  7. Hi Samuel! Thank you. Well, as a show car, it will mostly go straight from the trailer to the show stand. Should be OK, LOL, CT
  8. Hi John! Thank you for the compliments. I like to think that Mr. Mitchell would have noticed it. To your questions: no, I did not planned to put a clear top on it, but it would be feasible. If I was to start over gain, I would add a thin chrome molding at the edge of the opened roof, all the way back to the rear pointy tip of the rear "opening". And I would get the seat backs lower. Next time maybe? And yes, I remember that competition. Many surprising designs came out of it. CT
  9. Hi Chris! Thanks for the comments. That junction of the c-pillar and the upper quarter on the 66 Riviera is one of the best GM design detail ever IMHO. My opened roof makes it appear even "slimmer", which is a good thing, I guess... CT
  10. Hi Ray! Thank you for your faithful support! CT
  11. Hi Tim! Thank you for the compliments. I must admit this one was on my mind for a while, but as I get older, it's often more difficult to get things in gear. Oh well... CT
