Hi Gareth! You are right. It IS the late WABC star. I've spend 25 years in the radio business, as a DJ, program director and ultimately owner. When I started in the 70's, Dan Ingram was my hero. I listened to him every late afternoon, as I lived close to the Canada/USA border, and the WABC signal reached us at dusk. I was lucky enough to meet him twice. While I was building this Willys, Mr. Ingram passed. Sad news. I decided to honor is memory, in a way, by using his name as the "owner-driver" of this fantasy Bonneville car. I also indicated the number 77 on the top of the side window with "shoe polish" as racers used to. Even at that, you are the first person to make the connection. Go figure... RIP Big Dan! CT

Hi Gareth! Thanks for the comments. You can achieve this colour easily: Tamya's light grey primer + Testor's White lightning pearl. Just 2 light coats allow the grey primer shade to influence the final hue of the white pearl in this silvery manner. It is not an "accident". I observed it on a previous buit, a Willys lakester that I built a few years ago (see below). I noted the "recipe", and lo and behold, it worked again... CT

Hi Bjarne! Sweet... They look real. We had those in Canada for a while, and a few are still roaming antique cars gatherings once in a while. A local Paris themed restaurant chain has one sitting in front of every one of its outlets. I was puzzled as to how they found so many... untils I examined one, and found they were fiberglass copies! Some kind of real size plastic model? Bravo! CT

The truth is I was trying to accentuate the groove of the rear window trim (too much primer and paint) to guide my XActo blade when the time to apply BMF would come,,, and it fell-off! So, when life throws you lemon, you make lemonade, as they say... Let's pompously infer it is a "styling decision"... CT

Hi Francis! My wife is also concerned about my mental health... and the fact that fresh builts are piling up. What can I say? You are right, the tire stem valves could be hidden by the fenders... but no, alas, I went lazy this time and skipped on that detail. I even left off the door locking pulls at the top of the door panels, which is contrary to my habits.... Come to think of it... you may be right: maybe I'm loosing it!
