  2. That’s the one I need the decals for. It’s a gorgeous trans kit. Yours came out nice
  3. Ditto to what everyone else has said!!!
  4. Lol .... you guys might remember this one too. I’m working on an Amt 36 Ford gasser based on this hot wheel I also had as a kid
  5. Does anyone know where to buy or who makes if at all decals for this car?
  6. Like many of you guys on here a lot of these models I either built or lusted after as a kid. Funny thing is as an adult builder having a chance to do them you realize some of these kits weren’t really that nice lol ... but for me that’s part of the challenge to make them right
  7. Yes sir ... for rattle can paint I like the way the testors one coat lays on
  8. Thanks guys for the kind words, its definitely appreciated. My inspiration for this build was actually a matchbox I had as a kid
  9. It’s a 1957 Chevy color called Dusk pearl. I shot it through my airbrush and purchased the paint from www.mcwautomotivefinishes.com/paint/catalog.html
  10. Yes sir,... grabbed them from the 70 impala. I’ve only got 1 set left which is going to end up on a vette. Wish I had more
  11. Thank you for the compliment Rich. The injector stacks are from www.speedcityresin.com . They have different lengths and all their stuff is REALLY nice !
  12. Thanks Kevin, it’s time consuming to get them straight
  13. They do, I filed and sanded them away then drilled holes where the shafts would’ve come up through the cowl to add a little depth of realism. And yes... Arrrgh. Tedious but a worthwhile detail
  14. Thank you, yes it’s the 427 FE from revell thunderbolt. I think it’s one of the nicest FE’s out there
  15. ?.... especially the tear drop hood!!! It looks so right on the 56 ford
  16. Got any pics?
  17. An early hemi (392 or 354 ) would be an awesome engine choice, especially if you throw on a set of resin desoto fire power or imperial valve covers... something along those lines
  18. Very nice!!!
  19. Thanks Wayne,.. I definitely get caught up thinking about what if’s. I like the additional creative freedom that goes along with them. I’ve been pondering doing a Don “ the snake “ to go with it
  20. I’ll try to get some more pics later, but basically I just threw parts at it from my parts box. I usually make notes on my instructions as to what parts/from where/ colors used and mods made. I’ll see if I can dig them out. This kit was built several years ago and..... well my memory just isn’t what it once was lol I know I radiused the rear wheel well openings and did some scratch building for the front suspension and support for fuel tank up front
  21. Thanks guys,...and Richards correct lol ,it’s Fathom green. It’s one of those colors that looks best in the sunlight since it’s fairly dark
  22. Thanks Rex,The hood is from the Phil Bonner afx kit and than I used and modified the stock hood for the Phil Bonner kit
