  1. That came up very nice.   I have thought about getting one of these but that is as far as it has got.   The look of the Lonestar still has not grown on me,  that grille reminds me of a cow puncher on an old steam locomotive.  Nice job on opening the doors also.    You should get some outdoor pics of it, the red and chrome would really pop.

  2. Looks great.  Looks like you kept it in a case for it to be so clean.. I am a believer in that.    Flame job looks like it would be tedious to do.  I have one of these in the pile that I'll get to one of these days/years.  Biggest thing is I haven't decided what color to make it.

  3. Well, after 4 or 5 months I finally got this undertaking done.  Or as done as I'm gonna get it🙂      Built from 2 MPC gravel trailer kits.  Never did like the look of that  24 ft. triple axle that the kit depicts,  so I dared to be different,  converted it to a frameless tandem axle which is very common here in the western U.S.   Probably not entirely accurate since all I had to go by was pics I found on the net, and they weren't the best.  It seems that no 2 of these were the same.    It's gonna go behind my W925, still need to pin the 5th wheel on it, still need a bit of research on that and come up with a hydraulic line.   I kinda made it up as I went on some of it, surprisingly it ended up looking like I envisioned it.   This is the biggest kitbash/scratch build I have ever done.  I have learned a lot reading on this site which helped me get up the nerve to tackle such a project.   Biggest thing is don't be afraid to dive in and give it a shot.     I am happy with how it turned out overall.  Hope you like,  comments/critiques welcome as always.   Thanks for lookin'.

  4. Nice job.  Your first time at BMF looks good.  It gets easier as you go.  I'm gonna have to pick up one of these next time they come around.  My mom had a '67 Riv when I was in high school.   That was a fun car to drive, but could suck out half a tank of gas in 2 blocks....

  5. The Revell 59 Skyliner is the only multi piece body kit I have done. My dad's best friend came by with this kit and asked me if I could build it for him.  I said uhhhh OK or something.  I'm always up for a challenge so I told him I'll give it  a shot but just don't be in a hurry for it.    He wanted it to match the one he drove in 1960.  It was a bit tedious but not as bad as I thought it would be.   The top was a different story, never did get it to work.   My camera wouldn't capture the color quite right,  I mixed it to match the Ford geranium color fairly. Looks orange in pics.   He was tickled pink with it,  I also became much better at BMF after putting a scale mile of it on this thing.      Sadly, the big guy passed away 5 or 6 yrs. ago,  so I ended up getting it back.  One day I'll see if I can make the top work.DSC_0056r.jpg.9c95a26264792067b402e562be816277.jpg
