Luckily it was just the rear end, it's slowly coming back together with the help of crazy glue. I've had completed models fall and shatter so lucky it happened now.
-
While trying to put the tires on to the wheel backs this morning the chassis so nicely slipped out of my hand and hit the hardwood floor resulting in this ?♂️. It's not too bad, think with some crazy glue and a little patience I'll be able to put the rear end back together.

Great job on your Charger David, looks good in that green.
-
That will be a good color combination.
-
I haven't decided yet, kinda leaning towards maybe a Chrysler Blue I have left from another build but trying to think of an interior color as well.
-
Got the motor and chassis painted today, tried to disassemble the motor but the fella who built it the first time used a "generous" amount of glue and there was no pulling it apart without breaking something so painted it up then did some detailing.
-
Thanks David Thanks bud, think this is going to be a quick easy build. After stripping all the old paint everything is going back together easily.
-
Another go of the easy off did the trick, removed most of the paint and glue as well. Just had a little to chip off. Threw some primer on the car, one of these days gonna build a car and keep it in primer. Something about an old muscle car in primer that looks right.

Rare Kits... prices.

If I was getting a stimulus check up here in Canada I'd probably spend a stupid amount on something too. Please take my money.....now ? -

$85 is nuts for a what is basically a $20 kit Should of sold it there, just don't forget to put rare in the title like I've noticed them doing lol. -
Thanks bud, just used a black sharpie on the grill, finding I'm liking using them for detailing. If you get one will definitely have to post your work, think the car would look sweet like that.
-
The black doesn't bother me too much, I usually do my chassis black. Decided to do one more go of the easy-off, should take what's left away.
-
Nice looking T-Bird, looking forward to the finished product.

I've noticed lately kits that I really don't consider rare going for stupid prices. Seen the AMT General lee going for well over $100 and Daisy's Road Runner for over $200. Know you can't get Dukes of Hazzard kits anymore but they sure aren't good enough kits to be worth that much. -
After a bath overnight in easy-off the parts are for the most part stripped of paint, enough that I can cover up what's left with a light coat of primer. The chassis didn't come off like the rest so must of been painted with another type of paint. Quite a bit of the glue came off as well, only real problem area now is on the door panels.

Thanks pal.

Thanks for the advice pal, I'll give that a try if it doesn't take off what was left on the car. Paint seems to be coming off good, glue though might be an issue but now I know that will work.
-
Thanks for the vote of confidence bud. Got some of the paint stripped off but found some pieces were painted white underneath the yellow so gave it another go of the easy-off to get rid of the rest of the paint.

Nice clean looking Dart, great job.

Decided for my next project I'd try one of the finished models I got from my old neighbor a few months ago. I wouldn't call it a glue bomb but definitely needs help in some areas. I'm guessing sand paper will be the best for removing the excess glue, but open to any other suggestions. Currently having a bath in easy-off oven cleaner, will be my first attempt at restoring a kit. Wish me luck.

Thanks bud. Thank you Michelle.

Thanks bud appreciate it, think the main issue is the length of the decals and found the one that goes on top of the roof tore easily. Thanks pal.
-
Thanks pal, mine almost ended up without decals too but was able to fix were they tore. Car would still look good without them.
