  1. Thanks David, watching that show now it's almost enough to make a car guy cry seeing what got destroyed during filming. All the Chargers, Fury/Monaco's and everything else you seen fly through the air or roll over.
  2. Welcome to the forum.
  3. Got the decals on, not really happy with the outcome. Purchased two sets of aftermarket decals from different Ebay sellers that weren't as advertised. First one was supposed to be white backing, came with orange backing different from the color of the car. Second one was what I wanted until I applied them and they were see through and didn't cover. Oh well as they say buyer beware. Ended up using the flag from the pro modeler kit, the 01 from the country Charger and the General Lee from one of the decal sheets that even though it was colored blue ended up black on the car. Not perfect but works for me, I'm not looking to make a completely accurate replica.
  4. Great job on the 43, car looks great.
  5. I'm hoping to pick up one of the Salvinos Jr's Buick Regal kits and build myself a replica of this. Replicating the decals will definitely be the issue.
  6. That diorama turned out excellent, great job.
  7. Guess the General must of been a popular thing back then to build. First paintjob was competition orange then after it had an issue went to hemi orange. This one seemed to turn out fine so far.
  8. Picked this up today at a local flea market for an upcoming project.
  9. Guess that orange paint is pretty much a dead giveaway bud lol.
  10. Got these today from Mike's Decals for some future project's.
  11. Welcome to the forum.
  12. Going with the traditional version David, car just wouldn't look right missing the flag.
  13. Thanks David, it's gonna be a General Lee when it's finished. I'm sure us 40 something year olds on here remember that car as a kid outrunning the sheriff and jumping over everything and wanting one lol.
  14. I'm still working away on this, had some paint issues that forced me to strip the old paint off. Now it's wearing Dupli-Color Hemi Orange which I'm happy with so far Picked up some Dupli-Color clear, first time using it and looked great on a test piece. Question for anyone reading this who has used it, is it best applied after the chrome and decals are on the kit or before?
  15. Thanks appreciate it. Typed mold but guess my phone must of changed it to mod instead. I've found the kit has been reissued so many times there are lots of issues with it. Mine has half the trim missing from the drivers side window, that's why I decided to use the better kit for this build and thinking of turning the country Charger into a stock car.
  16. Neat idea, great job on the truck.
  17. Thank you I appreciate that.
  18. That looks really good, great job.
  19. Thanks for the recommendation. I've seen people use that that but never tried it. Thanks for the recommendation. That looks really good.
  20. Thanks for the advice, I usually use primer on my builds. That's where i ran into the issue with the last paint job. The testors paint and primer seemed to react with each other. Thanks for the advice, appreciate it.
  21. Thanks for answering, appreciate it. Thanks for answering, appreciate it. Thanks for the advice, appreciate it.
