This is actually Saturday's irk. When I went to retrieve the mail, other than the cool Show Rod model kit book I received was this months BGE electric bill. Last months bill was $84.43 and this one..$232.13 No way did I use that much more electricity. The AC is set the on the same temp. as usual, and nothing else has been running that shouldn't be. Tomorrow I'll be calling to dispute the reading and demanding an explanation. The jerks double billed me last year, ripping me off $64.?? and never responded to my inquiry on that one. We need competition with our electricity supplied here in Maryland. BGE has a Monopoly.

I have been wanting this book for quite some time but it usually goes for way more than its valued. I found one reasonably priced on ebay with a make an offer option. I made a reasonable offer and was shot down. I gave it a day of thought and decided what the heck, I'll never find that cheap again. Wouldn't you know it, it was gone..🤬 Fast forward to today.. I went out to grab the mail out of the mailbox and here sat a large cardboard envelope with my name on it. I known I hadn't ordered anything. As I inspected the package it was clear to me as to what was going on. One of our fine Modelers on the forum knew I was looking for one and also knew my offer had been shot down. He decided to take upon himself to make the purchase and send it as a Birthday gift to me.. How Fricken Cool is that! He knows who he is and I Thank him whole heartedly for that kind gesture.. you rock!

I agree 100%, last winter we were having a oil delivery almost every month. That was my first sign something was up. That should be cut down considerably when the new is installed.

What should be an irk, is simply not. The 57 yr old (dinosaur) furnace at the house I took over after my dads death is having an issue of constantly kicking the emergency breaker off. It's the electrodes, they are worn out and unfortunately they are an obsolete part. This is something that I knew would be happening sooner or later, glad it's in the summer months and not the dead of winter. My service provider is supposed to send out a salesman within the week. I already know it'll be somewhere between $8,000. to $15,000. for the furnace and installation. So there will be no model buying for quite some time now.. but that's okay, have an ample supply and I enjoy bathing with hot water instead of cold. The service guy who found the problem suggested that an electric hot water heater could be an alternative solution. No Thanks, in the last 30 years I've replaced the hot water heater at the other house 3 times. Each time we had a water mess to clean up in the basement. Once we had to replace the carpet. I'll stick with the oil burning furnace to supply my hot water and not have to deal with the every ten year floods.

After purchasing both the perfume carriage and the cake topper carriage, I've decided to move forward with the cake topper carriage. As for the frame for this ride I want to use a longer frame. The frame rails from the Monogram Stinger kit and it's rear end assembly with wrinkled slicks is what I'm starting with. Not enough progress for photos yet. I just started with the assembly of those wonderful 2-piece vinyl tires and sanded the seams. This will be a slow build since I have so much going on in real life, but it will go on!
