I built some wire spoked wheels for front and the rear for John and myself. Here's the rear wheel inside Andy Martin's Rear tire: We were not sure what size front wheel/tire to use so I made John and myself two sizes: I'm using the front forks, chain drive and disc brakes from the latest Revell Chopper kit. After playing around with different photos of the bike I was able to print out a 1/12th scale photo of the bike to establish the size of the engine and frame. I then decided to build the frame in brass: Frame with mock up engine: More to come, thanx for lookin'...

My buddy John Teresi and myself have been talking about building a couple of motorcycles with a "Radial Engine". Ya know the kind that prop driven airplanes use. John wanted to build one to compliment the "Radial Engine Plymouth Pick Up" he built last year. With the help of our other buddy Steve Allemand (he's got a 3D printer) printing a 3D radial engine and a bunch of other parts, i.e. carburetors, front control pedals, tombstone tail lights, etc.. And Andy Martin from "Model Martin" sent us a couple of his big fat rear tires and extra parts. John's gonna build a bike kinda like this: I'm gonna build a bike like this: This should be fun, gonna have to step up my game to run with "Southside Johhny" I've got about a two week start on him, cuz he is just finishing the "Jet Van" ...so that means he'll catch up to me by Friday! More posts to follow...thanx for lookin'...

Yes he was. I got started on the "Curtis Turner" thing about 4 years ago. Desert Scale Classic (Phoenix) had a category for Nostalgia NASCAR in their contest. Being as though we both share our first name, I decided to build a model his - 1956 Convertible. After researching and finding out what a character he was inspired me to build more of his cars. It's been a fun journey, so far

Thank You, I have not seen the display since I met Curtis Turners daughter there in November 2017. I dropped off two models and since have sent 10 more to her. I have built a lot more since the stay at home thingy started. My goal is to build a model or two of cars Curtis Turner drove each year.

Very Very nice racecar Art. It was a sad day when "Modelers" went under. They had a lot of nice kits and excellent detail items. -

Started out as a simple build of Revell's excellent Ford Bronco kit, but then I found Fireball Motorworks! $50 later, I had all the extra goodies I needed: set of 15x8.5 steel wheels, fender flares, bare 31' spare tire set, body lift kit, off-road bumpers, set of 31" BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, 3D printed roll bar and off-road lights. This guys stuff is quite nice on par with Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland Painted the Bronco Ford Hot Ginger from Scalefinishes. I was going to take the Bronco to Phoenix for the Desert Scale Classic, hence the license plates. Thanx for lookin'...?

How to attach flexible vinyl seats?
curt raitz replied to Jon Cole's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I use Pacers Formula '560' Canopy Glue to attach a lot of parts. similar to Elmer's White glue, but a little stronger, Will hold your vinyl seats in place forever once it has dried. ?
