  1. Ready to start.
  2. That is one sharp pile of parts! Definitely has the look.
  3. And super sharp results on the abundance of chrome trim!
  4. Looking good. I watch the length of the stock rear axle, see prototype photos the wheels are snug to the body.
  5. Looks cool without the top too. I got one of the recent reissue to make a more generic old school dragster.
  6. I use metal pins to position the roof on or off.
  7. The chrome was largely stripped in the purple pond and I got to try Spray Metal. I chickened out on the chrome frame though.
  8. I got this kit about the same time as I got my Paasche H airbrush. (Still using it, replaced guts over the years) I was looking forward to feathering the green on this car and also the Me 262. (It IS a Johan, OK?)
  9. I love the front-blower dragster style, so I got this when Polar Lights reissued it in 1997.
  10. This is a classic sleeper. What is under the hood is super well done too!
  11. Yeah around here scrapper guys come by on trash day with rugged pickups. Always have loud pipes. (cats and mufflers gone I bet) Anyway it is good to have a place to put some of the cool accessories I've accumulated, and not just in the junk box.
  12. Chrome is excellent! Did you use foil?
  13. Clean clean clean even after 10 years! Man I should figure out some dust-free display. A beautiful build.
  14. I had an old Dodge pickup with a bad home paint like this, wagon wheels, even 'pipes for bumpers'.
  15. Well I think of them as roadsters.
  16. This is a simple kit, super well engineered and molded. Not sure top down or hard top. Why not both!
  17. Getting real close to slip together. The fit on the parts of this kit is a joy. Yes I epoxy lead weight in the 'motor'. Will the shark be visible?
  18. Detail painting continuing.
  19. I put MANY miles behind the dash of Mopar vans and yours looks great!
  20. This is a model that I sold during a general shelf clearing episode. I still have photos to remember it! For when the Chief is in a rush!
  21. This is a model that I sold during a general shelf clearing episode. I still have photos to remember it! Well why not put a parts pack V8 in the back?
  22. This is a model that I sold during a general shelf clearing episode. I still have photos to remember it! Paint detailed interior and underframe. Steering turns. Missing 1 side exhaust. Custom lettering and decals. (I really like the Ugly Duck) Plenty of vintage shelf dust. Man spray painting must have been harder back in 1970! (Airbrush? Well the t-shirt painter guy was pretty slick with one but I never expected to actually or use one myself)

  23. This is a model that I sold during a general shelf clearing episode. I still have photos to remember it! Model is cleanly assembled and neatly detail painted by careful teenage modeler (me 55 years ago). Custom spray paint and lettering. Looks like it had a roll bar that broke off. Missing convertible boot.
  24. This is a model that I sold during a general shelf clearing episode. I still have photos to remember it! 1970 skill level spray paint, questionable color choices. Hey it was groovy then baby! Note angry eyebrows over headlights.
