The handline nozzles and some of the connectors are resin. The photoetch parts were a real nightmare to deal with. The fit of the parts on the front of the truck left something to be desired. One other thing, if I ever build it again I would not put as much time and effort into the interior, as it is hidden once it’s finished. All that said, it is a very impressive truck when its complete, and it looks great in my display case. -
This….been there…lived that. Great isn’t it?

This is a screenshot of the DAAM facebook page. This is the same as the card I picked up at the last show.

Got to explore a 747-400 up close and personal. What a great day, had access to areas of the plane very few get to see…One bucket list item checked.

I picked up a card at the March show and it says November 10,2024.

The new Ford Pass App. I don’t understand why things just can’t be left alone. This new version is such a step backwards. There has been a lot of functionality lost, and things moved so they are more difficult to access. Used to be able to update the vehicles condition and location in real time, that’s gone. I can’t get it to update at all. Reading reviews on several sites (including the Ford App site) and there was not one positive review, but like everything else ford does the customers viewpoint means nothing.

DTE the electric service provider. At least once a week, sometimes more the power goes out. It's usually out no more than five minutes. It is however off long enough to disrupt everything and auto start the generator and then shut it right back down. I have called to inquire what is up with these numerous short term outages and was told there would be an investigation into it....and I would be contacted by a DTE engineer to discuss it. Still waiting on that call. Meanwhile, power just keeps going out....

It seems to the case more and more. I often wonder what these kind of people are paid for, as stated above, seems you know more about whatever it is you are dealing with than the people whose business it is to know these things. Auto sales people pop to mind.

Things are not always what they seem. Being former law enforcement, and having a son who is currently a deputy sheriff, I can say that many times department vehicles are wrecked or damaged not by the officers carelessness, but by members of the citizenry being protected. Just last month my son was hit head on while blocking traffic due to a crash. The guy refused to slow down and merge into the traffic being directed around the wreck. This kind of stuff happens all the time. People driving thru police lines set up to protect a scene (whatever that scene entails). That said, yes, unfortunately there are bonehead cops that do stupid things with vehicles. However, that is (at least in my experience) a very small part of the much bigger problem.

For sure….would make for some very long days.

All aspects of the forum are really slow today. Slowest it’s been for quite some time. -
New roof going on today. The tear off is completed and I am advised that 20 new sheets of plywood are needed. Seems the two bathroom vent stacks were not installed properly and that allowed water to work its way into the plywood, causing rot and mold. This jacks up the bottom line quite a bit. That’s the part I could do without, however I’m glad to get the moldy timber off the house, and thankful there were no leaks.
