Working on the interior now. The front seat had the military look as it was the Rommel Rod. But if it is going to be a Hot Rod, it needs hot rod seats. And the VCG Resins Falcon arm rest looks super cool in there too.

The trailer for the Kringle Cruiser to haul the Santa Sleigher is done. Needed this done to set the trailer hitch height on the build. The entire set up is being built for diorama class.

Section 8 Hobbies in Elma NY is 3d printing a 68 Mustang Coupe that is very good. It's a curbside, but I picked up a couple and it's easy to open the hood and use the AMT donor for the parts. Model Car Garage Etched metal parts are a great addition. I have this build next up on the bench for a Spring Show. I will post progress build pics during that build

Decided that the Kringle Cruiser needed to be towing his Hot Rod. So I shortened the AMT car hauler from the drag combo kit 1 inch. Now the VCG Resins Santa Sleigher looks perfect on it. Trailer in the first coat of color and the Cruiser is in primer. Now we have snow, so raking leaves is done for awhile.

Lots of body work. Decided on frenched 59 Cadillac taillights. Slow steady progress.

Mock up on chrome wheels and track. Loosing the military look and leaning into the hot rod look. Tedious work on headlights to keep the ring but remove the iron cross. Always the details that take time.

It was also mine that took 1st, and top auto overall. It was my 32 5 window American Graffiti tribute.

Spark plug wires went pretty easy. Love when a motor has a plug rail. Looking good. Added a mesh membrane for the air filter. Mock up looks right.

The 1/2 tracks look much better with some panel liner. And the big inline 8 is ready for the spark plug wiring stage.

Yes, it's been reissued a few time. I picked this one up for 10 bucks at the RONCON show. The skeletons were removed, but I did not plan on using them, so no problem.

Changing it up from military to what Mr Claus would want to bring to Cars and Coffee! 1929 Ford bench seat, tv, reel to reel, telephone and a cb. The tracks looks so much better in chrome, and some Christmas lights for taillights and turn signals.

Here we go on my Christmas 2025 build! Santa must have something that can get him through the Lake Effect Blizzards we get here in Buffalo! So what better than a WW2 Half track. So it looks like a Rommel Rod is the perfect starting point. That in-line 1939 Mercedes engine is cool and some Jimmy Flintstone figures for a bit extra. Less than 10 weeks to get her done for the big man!

The Sidewinder is done. This was built for Box Stock class and I copied the box art as close as possible. As is with Box Stock, I added nothing that did not come in the box. All body seams were molded together before paint. Color is Alclad Pale Gold. All chrome was stripped and painted Alclad Copper. A simple build to go along with the much more involved Sidewinder “Snake Bitten” built at the same time. Happy Halloween!

The Sidewinder “Snake Bitten” is done. This is the recent reissue of the old Tom Daniel Rattler. The heart of the serpent is the “What If” Dodge Slant 8 Warplane motor from VCG Resins!!! The body was assembled before paint to allow for smoothing the body seam that runs all the way around the cab. Doors were scribed in the rear with Iceman Collections door handles added. Hood louvers were removed. The Wild Straight 8 motor was painted Gaia Star Bright Brass, and Revell Chrome. Details are Detail Master plug wires and coolant hoses, and Pro-Tech sparkplug boots. The rest is that amazing motor from VCG Resins! The crazy wide “Richard Carroll type” tires are from Ron Olsen 3D products as are the rims. Disc Brakes are from the Revell 32 Ford. Color on this reptile is MCW Paints Color Shift Red/Gold Enamel for the slithering appearance! Headlights and taillights are Woodlite Models from Iceman Collections, again for an evil look! George Barris used these lights on many of his wild creations. Inside the cockpit is a Pistol Grip shifter from Ron Coon Designs, gauges from Slixx decals and an 8track player from Iceman Collections. VCG Resins provided the universal joint for the aluminum driveshaft. Shackles were added on the leaf springs with Tichy Railroad bolts. Futurattraction Springs were used on the re-worked wheelie bars, and the rear wing is from a Chrysler Concorde. A full custom build to go along with the Box Stock Sidewinder built at the same time. The custom “Snake Bitten” has the wheels and tires mounted and squared up! And as with any crazy 60’s custom, it needs an 8-track player (from Iceman Collections!)

The box stock version is on here wheels. The custom is in the interior stage.

Their stuff is nice, but pricey

The box stock motor is ready. Box Stock class is torture to build. Can’t add all the engine goodies, plug wires, destructor, fuel lines, etc. but stripped the red chrome. Sanded everything and it’s painted Tamiya black and Alclad Copper. Super close to the box art.

I see 3D scale parts are now printing the exact Manafre manifold, carbs and scoops.

Decals on and in the dehydrator before the last coat of clear. They are close and will be revealed at the same time. That color shift paint fought me every step of the way!

Seats and shifters are all done. Going to be cool having them both done at the same time.
