  1. The “High Flyer” is done. It’s a Revell 1957 Ford Ranch Wagon Gasser with a 312 Ford Y-block motor. Built to have a late 70’s Street Freak ex-gasser look. I remember the look well when I was younger. Paint is Tamiya Blue Violet and Toyota Celestial Silver with Pearl clear. All chrome was stripped and is Alclad. Hood is from Drag City Castings. VCG Resins provided the Carbs, air cleaners, shifter and header ends. Pro-tech provided the Tach, valve stems, under dash gauges, spark plug wires and boots. Ron Coon Resins provided the Ladder Bars master cylinder and Battery boxes in the rear. Interior has embossing powder carpet and Gofer Racing seat belts. Headlights are from STS decals. License Plates are from Best Model Car parts. She is done and it the case. Enjoy.
  2. Paint is done. Frame all done. Really love the Ron Coon Resins ladder bars.
  3. Those are the kit wheels. I painted the spokes Alclad Magnesium.
  4. Drag City Casting. It's for the AMT 57 Ford, not the Revell. All I needed was a piece of .010 styrene on the front lip of the engine bay and it fits perfect. Drag City Casting's products are super nice.
  5. It's actually Krylon Red Oxide Primer right from the can. Just warm the can and it does lay down well. The accents and fading was Tamiya flat black through the air brush.
  6. Underside is Krylon Red Oxide Primer and its right from the spray can. Just warm the can and it does lay down well. The frame, accents and fading are Tamiya flat black through the air brush.
  7. First build of the year is progressing along. Revell 1957 Gasser Wagon. Frame and motor done. Paint ready for wet sanding after a few days in the dehydrator. Progress is progress. Enjoy.
  8. Very WELL done. I really like the the icy blue color.
  9. Sorry missed that question. Yes it is a Mercedes inline. The real 1:1 show car had a Pontiac inline 6 in it.
  10. It’s MCW 68 Dodge Avocado enamel
  11. It’s Mission Models Iridescent Turquoise. MMP-151. Shot over white primer and Mission Models clear. Their paint is great to work with.
  12. Thanks. Came out really cool
  13. Made 15 this year, although one was a curbside Jimmy Flintstone, but still a build in my book. Enjoy
  14. 1980 Toyota 4x4 is done. Last build for 2024. I don’t always build hotrods. This is a close as I could get to my 1980 Toyota I ran back in the early 80’s until I rolled it on its side. It’s an AMT snap kit that I added as many details as I could with it as it is a curbside without an engine compartment. I replaced the lights and reworked the push bar. Added a pipe rear bumper, trailer hitch and added lights on the roll bar to match mine and added a blanket seat cover. Color is a mix of Tamiya paints to match the 80 Toyota blue. Enjoy.
  15. The small one is from Johnny Lighting.
  16. Barris Ice Cream Truck is done. This was an actual show car I saw back in the glory of the show car days. This kit/mold is almost 60 years old, which made for a tedious 5-week build. Basically, a box stock build with added engine details and all suspension was pinned. Color is Tamiya mix of Mica red and Pure orange. White is Tamiya racing white. Clear is Mr. Color aqua clear. Ken’s fuzzy fur carpet and all kit chrome was stripped and redone in Alclad Chrome. Enjoy.
  17. The Dominator Jiggler Dragster is done. Full write up and photos in the “Under Glass, Drag” section. Enjoy.
  18. The “Dominator” Jiggler Dragster is done. Great dragster from the early days of racing. This is the recent release from Atlantis, The Kent Fuller Dragster as part of the Keller Kustoms series. The main part of this is the AMAZING VCG Resins Jiggler Flathead motor! It is a replica of the rare version of the Ford Flathead motor. It has a Competition Resins S.C.O.T supercharger with Iceman carbs, pully system and scoops. A VCG Resins Moon tank and tachometer were added. Ron Coon Resins accelerator and Knock offs for the wheels. Any chrome is Revell or Alclad and the colors are Testor decanted red enamel, and the frame is Tamiya Dark Iron. I had an original set of instructions from back in the 70s with the correct way to install the front end. A great help to get the stance correct. Any other parts were parts box sourced. Enjoy.
  19. “The Dominator” Jiggler Dragster is in the home stretch! Decals are done and 2k clear is next. Interior is ready to install.
  20. Motor is complete, and wired. Floor is in (was not part of the kit, so scratch built). The body panels (from a 60+ year old kit) needed a lot of massaging. Body work is on the agenda for tonight. Progress is being made.
  21. Have not started the interior yet, but it will have the floor and full interior.
  22. Some more progress tonight. Tomorrow night fuel lines
  23. Love that kit, did mine as a copy of a local drag car from the 60's
  24. The VCG Resins Jiggler is super cool for any exposed engine hot rod! I just had to put it in my 32 build.
  25. They work so well for tubbing a rear. Just scuff so paint sticks better.
