  1. Another kit that sat on my shelf since 89. Needed to build and get it in the display case. Decals were disintegrated so Slixx had them. Lots of work on interior and motor.
  2. Built these two at the same time. Frames were badly warped, but after a lot of work bending, cutting and heating they are straight. Slixx decals on both and a lot of time on the motors
  3. Testors Enamel Yellow
  4. I built this in the 80’s and never was really happy with it. Then one night last spring before the summer car season started I decided the give it a purple bath and start over. I know I could have started with a fresh kit but she sat in my office for a lot of years. Felt attached so I gave her some….a lot of love
  5. This kit also sat on my shelf for over 30 years. Not collecting anymore. They are being built and displayed. A fun a fairly easy build. But now I have time and the patience that comes with age. Lots of extra details and aftermarket tires helped a lot. I do love Green cars.
  6. This kit sat on my shelf for over 30 years. Not collecting anymore. They are being built and displayed. Still a very finicky build. But now I have time and the patience that comes with age. Lots of extra details
  7. I ran an old gasser Falcon all through the 80’s. I would watch the guys crawl into the slingshots and think. Nope no way
  8. Is still does a bit. I used Vallejo acrylics then clear. When I shut the lights off in the shop you can see it glow faintly. Just the right creepy amount
  9. Yes. I have the old Hot Rod magazine with the car and an interview with Tom Daniel. He said that the engine for the kit was the WW1 plane motor the model company already had tooled
  10. I love Tom Daniel kits. I built this when it first came out. 50 years later it was time to do it the right way. Those engines just wanted more detail.
  11. I so remember getting this kit when it first came out. Probably built it in a couple days. This time, 50 years later took 8 weeks to build. Always loved Tom Daniel kits.
  12. Had to build this to match up with the Mummy Machine. Built it back in the 70’s had to do it now that I have the time…and patience. Lots if extra details. Lowered 1/4 inch to sit better.
  13. Grabbed this kit as a easy quick build. Started to look at it seriously and thought it would be a nice candidate for details. Full interior, rearend, rollcage that extended to floor and firewall. Hand brake, blower back, full lines and the hardest part the headers are aluminum tubing fitted over the undersized plastic headers. And front wheels off an AMT dragster
  14. Got this for 10 bucks on eBay. It was complete but a disaster. Full strip down and started from scratch. Luckily I found an original set of decals online
  15. Might have been a limited design. The car at Watklins Glen this year had standard headers. There was some long tube headers used in early 71, maybe JoHan had that pic
  16. Finished this last month. Loved this kit as a kid when it first came out. Now I have the time, patience and skill to have a nice shelf display. Stripped all the toy chrome, and used Green Stuff World airbrush chrome. Love that paint. Had a hard time finding good pics of the WW1 Fokker motor. The real 1:1 car ran a Pontiac 6 cylinder. Fun build and always gets extra attention when people see it in the case.
  17. My Mummy Machine after 6 weeks of extra work on it. Never like how high the original model sat, and remembering seeing the real one at a car show in the early 70’s, I thought it was time to give the kit the attention it deserves. Lots of extra details on the engine and full fuzzy interior.
  18. Had this kit sitting on the shelf far to long, 30 plus years. Better built than in a box. Lots of extra work in the engine bay, PP aftermarket tires. Correct engine colors and the correct race ready look. As an AMC guy I loved getting this kit in the case.
  19. Finally finished this Fiat. Many upgrades and extra details. Fun kit but needed lots of extra love.
